9 weeks and spotting, should I be worried

Ok so I want to apologise first for the description but I'm worried about the discharge I'm getting at 9 weeks, today I noticed a very watery brown discharge (not much though), does anyone know if that can be quite normal or I should get it checked out of just wait and see for another day or two. I'm not one to panic and I bled a little through my two week wait but I knew this to be quite common but now at 9 weeks I'm not sure sure about this discharge,

I would be grateful for any advice X

Brown blood is usually old/dried up blood. My doctor says it’s perfectly fine unless it is accompanied by bright fresh flowing blood enough to fill a pad and/or severe cramps. Pretty common to have a little spotting/bloody discharge otherwise. All the very best !

I would not worry if it is dark discharge. I bled heavily with two of my pregnancy early on. I did have fresh blood and was sent to maternity for scan. They found a strong heartbeat and couldn't find where the bleed was coming from. The bleed lasted about 12 hours and then went to spotting and brown discharge. I know how anxious any discharge can be. If you continue to discharge or it turns red contact your maternity unit and they will advise. Best of luck Xxx

Hi Bernie. "Pu" has said most of what I would have done. Your little one will just be growing his/her placenta, and this is when a tiny bleed/spotting can happen. Beforehand it is known as a chorionic villi, and has to develop into a proper placenta. Fingers crossed that s all that is happening. Thinking of you. Diane
