Bleeding - dark red/maroon 7+2 weeks pregnant

Terrified. Please please please. Woke up with dark red blood that had leaked through my pants onto bed sheets and blood when wiping. No cramps really but a lot more than spotting. Had a good scan with strong heartbeat just 2 days ago! How could this be happening?!?

You need to see the Early Pregnancy Unit at your local hospital as soon as possible, the quickest way to get referred might be to go to A&E. So sorry you're dealing with this and hope everything is ok xx

Hello, you have to see a doctor ASAP with any type of blood during pregnancy it doesn’t matter if you just came back from the doctor or not please go to emergency now. I had the same thing when I was pregnant with my daughter who is now 2 years old at about 7 weeks pregnant with red blood and knots just a day after my first scan and I was terrified because I had had 3 miscarriages before that and that was how it all started so I took a picture of it put on pad and called my doctor immediately and he asked me to come in immediately so we drove 1 hour to the doctor I showed him the pictures and explained everything to him so he did a scan and we saw the heartbeat and he placed me on a total bed rest and I started injecting hormonal and pills till my 14th weeks and stayed on bed rest till about 20 weeks and took things easy till I gave birth to my daughter I was going for checkups every week because It was a high risk pregnancy and she is my first child and the 6 of ivf cycle and a frozen embryo the 3 miscarriages where not from ivf ‘t they where natural pregnancy and I did not have this doctor then. Hi All- thank you for your advice. I had a scan and blood work this morning but they couldn’t explain the blood. The blood is still lingering almost 18 hours later (although it’s no longer bright Ted but more brown) which is unnerving and I now feel cramps and lower back pain. The doctor seemed more positive then negative but i can’t help but feel very nervous that something is about to go very wrong.
