Hi there

On a long cycle and a positive pregnancy test how long do you take progesterone for? Is it up to 12 weeks? I’m on lubion and utrogestan 200mg pessaries

It depends on the clinic, mine told me to stop at 8 weeks. But I see many people who stop at 12.

Hi Faith, just piggy backing on this post. My consultant has told me to take my progesterone until 12 weeks. Not sure if I just literally stop at that point? Or do I need to see how the 12 week scan goes first? What did you do?

Hey 👋 I spoke to my clinic and they told me to stop taking them on my 12 week mark. I were a bit worried as I hadn’t had my scan but everything was all okay at the scan. You should be fine as long as you take until the 12 week mark 😃 xxx

Thanks for getting back to me. I was discharged from the clinic after the 7 week scan so can’t ask them anything but your comments are reassuring to hear. Best wishes to you on your journey xxx
