I have failed my 3rd IVF cycle using OE at Guy’s- they have been amazing and lovely. However, I’m now considering moving to another clinic who specialise in over 40s.
Has anyone been in the same situation and used Zita West or Fertility Plus, Harley Street?
I know Zita West would want to do PGS testing on my eggs and this really worries me from what the HFEA say, so...
It would be great if you could PM please, with your experiences of these places.
Thanks in advance

They don’t recommend it at the moment and It says there is not a lot of research that has been done into it. The testing could also cause damage to the embryo- which means you could lose one that could work.
I have also spoken to some consultants (obviously anti testing) who have said that an Italian study showed that embryos that had been classified as abnormal, were transferred into women and live births were seen. It makes me worry about if eggs get classified as abnormal and they aren’t- especially as only a small sample of the cells can be taken.
Hello! I don’t have experience with these clinics I’m afraid, but I believe PGS testing is absolutely mandatory from a certain age. I’m 40 and PGS testing saved me wasting at least 3 months by transferring abnormal embryos which morphologically looked very good! (4AA and 4ABs!) It also helped me to realise that my eggs are not good anymore and if I wanted a baby I should have moved to egg donation.
