Hi Laura! I am no expert and certainly not qualified, but we have unexplained infertility and been TTC for almost 4 years. I have been exercising throughout this and I think that is ok as it is good to keep healthy and happy (if exercise rocks your boat, mindful and all that 😇). Good to keep good blood flow and healthy BMI. Eating healthy and varied to ensure you get your nutrients, vitamins and antioxidants. We have just started IVF for the very first time, and during this I have not done any exercise, was advised not to during treatment. I have just gone for walks when able to. But I don’t see why you can’t exercise while you are waiting. If you are really worried, perhaps discuss it with your GP. Might be good to take this time while you are waiting to prepare your body 🥰😇 Gave us something to focus on and we felt we were doing something rather than just waiting. I read some books about IVF - “It starts with the egg” keeps getting mentioned, although I have not read that one fully. I also tried to work on my mindset in preparation too ☺️
Hope the wait is not too long for you and wishing you all the best 🤞🤞
I have a horse and ride her 5/6 times a week. I normally keep riding during the stimulation phase but you generally get to a point where you are too uncomfy to do anything.
It’s not recommended to do any strenuous exercise after egg collection and definitely not after transfer - plus no housework or heavy lifting! Walking is good - that’s about it!
