Hello, I wonder if anyone has experienced any increase in resting heart rate when taking progesterone pessaries. I am currently taking cyclogest twice a day and noticed an increase of about 2-3 points. In fact this whole month its been higher than normal. In fact, if I compare it to start of last month then its 10 points higher!!!

Good to know ToughCookie78, thank you for replying. I have had some heart rate blips in the last few months so I am being referred to a specialist anyway for which there is a wait. But good to know this recent steady increase is attributable to the meds and I am not going mad or totally falling apart. Hope all is going well with you, good luck with everything

I was on progesterone and Cyclogest for 3 months (am 14 weeks now) 4 progesterone tablets a day and 3 Cyclogest pessaries a day. In the end I had to ask the doctors to reduce my meds or take me off them completely by week 12! I felt awful! Heart rate was up was having awful palpitations too. Midwife when I told her said no wonder I felt so poorly! Defo is the meds xxx

Sounds like you had a terrible time with the progesterone supplementation Pittuck23. I walked to the grocery store today about 8 mins and could feel a bit of sweat emerging by the time I got there. Its only my first week on them so will see how it goes. But I do find myself suddenly feeling very warm

My heart rate is up as well! Taking twice daily, I have also started having pressure pain when sitting (sort of around my bum) wondering if it could possibly be a side effect too. Anyone else?

Not for me but symptoms can vary so much from person to person. I am sure it is nothing to worry about
