How quickly can you do a FET after egg collection?

Hey ladies,

I had a miscarriage (9 weeks) a few months ago and I am doing another egg collection, but because of a risk of OHSS I am told that I will have to wait for an FET, not a fresh transfer.

Do you know how many bleeds you need between an EC and FET?

Hi Starfish,I’m so sorry to hear about your miscarriage.

I had to freeze all after egg collection due to the risk of OHSS and only had to wait for my next period. I had a withdrawal bleed 7 days after EC then a real period 5 weeks later so 6 weeks in total before I could start FET. Wishing you the best of luck xx

I had to wait about 7 weeks in the end. They said I had to have a whole cycle off, wouldn’t let me go on my next period. But the ‘period’ came early after the collection and I used norethiserone to bring the next one on, and we used that cycle. Does that makes sense?

I had egg collection. ‘Period/withdrawal’ came a week later. After 15 ish days Used norethiserone to bring the next one on and it came a bit early; (so 3 weeks after last period) used that cycle.

Transfer 21 days after that.
