I’ve just found out that my first FET failed. Feeling very sad and tired. However I also hope this will help me learn more about my body so I’ve got more information going into the next cycle. I’ve had one unsuccessful ICSI cycle before this and no frozen embryos left now so it’s back to the drawing board. Any advice on what questions to ask at my follow up appointment? The doc seems to generalise a lot and I’d really like to get specific info so I can make more informed decisions going forward. Thanks in advance xxx

Sorry to hear that it failed. It’s really hard to process and I understand how upset you are. But yes, it’s a good chance to change things up and have a better outcome next time.
So you’re going to do a whole new ivf cycle now? I feel like there are two separate currents:
Ivf protocol - Ask the doctor what he’d recommend changing to get more eggs etc, does he recommend PGT-A testing etc. there are many ladies here who have lots of experience and advice with this.
FET - can they do anything extra, like HCG wash, intralipids, do you need blood thinners and all that other stuff.
My advice would be to tackle one problem at a time. Figure out what you’d do differently with your ivf protocol, then start thinking about FET.
It may also be a good idea to take a couple of months off to process, focus on non-fertility things and then come back into it in the new year.
Wish you the very best! Don’t give up, you’ll get there xxx
Ah thank you so much. That’s really helpful. Yes so much to think about and I’ve found the appointments always feel so rushed that I forget to ask things. So just trying to be more prepared this time. I had issues with my lining in both cycles, which they didn’t seem bothered about but I’d like full info so I feel more informed. What a journey it is! Thank you again for your advice 😊 xxx
I am so sorry your cycle failed. I recently had a failed cycle and in the review I got lots of information about how the eggs and sperm looked in the lab so it is worth asking about that. As about your oestrogen levels as well as one of my cycles they started to plateau and that was why they triggered when they did even though some of the follicles were smaller than they would have liked. I hope you get some good information out of them but not all clinics are good at giving out information. My previous clinic were really bad.
Good luck xxx
