Started bleeding 5 weeks 5 days.

Cramping in my left side then bright red blood and clots. Call ob they said rest and it’s too early to call. It may be a bleed caused by my cervix and not related to baby. My ultra sound is scheduled for next Tuesday. This is the same time frame we lost our rainbow back in February. I’m a bloody messy. Crying and trying to be hopeful but it’s so hard too especially after our loss earlier this year. Seems a bit unfair I can get pregnant but not stay pregnant. Feels like a cruel joke.

Aaaah Tina that's so cruel, it's obvious you would think same thing happening than in February but try to hold off to the hope it's just your cervix misbehaving! I ll be thinking of you xx

I know it's very emotionally draining after you've suffered a loss. But please don't cry as that wont help. My sister had a bleed under 6 weeks. She was told to increase her pregestrone and to rest. He is now a healthy 9 months old. Prayers that you have positive news next week xx

Hi Tina, I just wanted to let you know this doesn’t always mean the worst. I had this about the same time as you just over 5 weeks (amd also after a previous loss earlier this year) and again a week later. I had a subchorionic hematoma when scanned which also meant spotting right up until 9 weeks. I’m 18 weeks tomorrow and baby okay so far. I did some posts a few months again and so many people responded who had bleeding and it turned out okay if you want to take a look at my posts? I was terrified for weeks so I am not going to say don’t worry but good news stories from others did help my stay semi sane. Thinking of you and wishing you lots of luck 🤗💜 xxx

Seeing yours and others stories gave me a smidgen of hope. I’m trying so hard to be positive while I lay here in pain bleeding. So many clots yesterday. That has seems to lessened. I stood up this morning and felt a tug/pull stretched feeling on my left side. I’m thinking that’s where the SCH is. I’m just praying my bean isn’t affected. It’s is scary and Tuesday’s scan feels sooo far away.

If you have pain could your clinic or even EPU maybe scan you earlier than Tuesday? Hate to think of you in pain as well as worry xx

I’m so sorry to read that you are going through this. I started bleeding right around the same point that you are at. I bled for seven weeks, sometimes bright red with very large, golf ball sized clots. I’ve now just made 19 weeks. They could never work out why but my clinic tells me that they see it in 60-70% of their patients. I hope that this works out for you. X

I bleed at 5+5 weeks also and now have a 2 year old. I did spot throughout the first trimester too. I hope it works out for you. Can EPU not scan you?

They won’t until Tuesday. They said it would only agitate things and it’s too soon to see anything aside from a yok sack now. I had a SCH bleed with out loss in February, it never stopped and just got bigger.

Update been on strict bed rest. Heavy flow stopped last night. Now only slight pink spotting when I wipe. Still some over stretched pain on my left side. Praying the best rest helps heal the bleed. Is it Tuesday yet? Praying my bean is there and fighting. The unknown is so hard.
