2 embryos obtained out of 6 mature eggs ( feeling really disappointed)

Just feel really disappointed today to get the call that we only have two embryos from 6 mature eggs. Last time we had same results and i was told that when a low numbers gives embryos could mean that they quality in general Wont be good.

I was really hoping for a better result as iv been taking the extra mile. Following everything from the book It starts with the egg. Hopefully they make it to blastocyst

I’m sorry to hear hun 😢will you PGS test them? I don’t know how old are you but generally when embryos are so few clinics suggest a genetic testing to check they’re normal... good luck x

Thank u for ur message. We have them In the embryoscope so we will know how the quality is. Im 36 but since i started my ivf journey (my 7th now) iv dealt with bad egg Quality

You’ll only know the morphology of embryos (grading) not if the DNA is normal or abnormal. If the DNA is abnormal the embryo won’t implant or will result in miscarriage...xx

I will ask the clinic About it. To be honest if they are abnormal i rather not traNsfer and go tru the TWW . When we use the embryoscope they usually tell us if they have fragmentation anD chromosomal abnormalities. But ill make sure to ask

I had three cycles of ivf and every time we only ever got 2 embryos, all of which were average, good or poor quality, never an excellent. The last cycle we did, the 2 embryos we got were judged good and average but came back pgt-a abnormal. 2 months later I got pregnant naturally and am now 7 weeks pregnant. I wouldn't worry too much about past cycles. It really is just getting the right mix of egg and sperm. Some people just aren't so lucky getting the right combinations and need extra rolls of the dice. I've got my fingers crossed that one or both of these are the ones x

I know, it is really really hard. I was the same. I always got 15, 17, 18 eggs, and only ever got 2 embryos, it is so disheartening. But whenever I felt down I always thought about our friends in america, who paid over $100,000 for ivf... 6 attempts-- sometimes they'd get no eggs, sometimes they'd get one and it was pgt-a abnormal, sometimes two but they'd come back abnormal too. So many times they got nothing. She had a misshapen uterus, he had low sperm count, every test they did came back with issues. Their last ivf cycle, they got two embryos, didn't test them, just shoved them in and hoped for the best.. And they got twins. It was their last shot of the dice and they got two beautiful children out if it. So even when the odds are stacked against you and history says there's no chance, there IS a chance. It's hard to feel that there's hope sometimes but one day you will just get lucky. You don't have to be positive or feel grateful, just remember that we're all rooting for you and your little embies 💪 x

It only takes one so it’s worth keeping your fingers crossed that all is ok. Otherwise you’ll keep feeling disappointed and that’s too hard on yourself. Bee kind to yourself and relax.

I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you.
