Endo pain after starting stimulation

So I had my baseline scan yesterday after 14 days of buserelin, and all was good apart from a note saying my endometriomas had grown since last scan in sept, which I wasn't that surprised about as I'd had a bit more pain, but the clinic were not concerned and I did my first ovaleap injection last evening. Now I'm led awake in quite severe pain, wondering if it can be related to having started the stimulation or just a coincidence??! Just wondering if anyone else has experience of something similar? Thanks x

Hi PurplePiggie,

I'm afraid I can't offer advice but wanted to say I have endometriosis (also on one of my ovaries) and I'm also starting Buserelin and Bemfola/Ovaleap next cycle so I have been conscious that my endo will likely inflame when my ovaries are stimulated & if I'm honest a little worried about the pain as I already suffer pain, that I'm used to 3 out of 4 weeks every cycle. I am sure you know what I mean as a fellow endo warrior.

I do plan to talk to my clinic about this before starting but I wondered if you'd been able to speak to a nurse about your concerns on the run up or whether this is a totally new symptom for you? Also, I'm sorry you're having a rough time of it and if your pain was quite severe overnight must have been worrying for you. Hope you managed to reach the clinic or the OOH nurses line xx

Hi, thankyou x To be honest I've been quite lucky previously with only having quite sporadic pain, but it has definitely been getting worse, I had a particularly bad episode before I started the cycle, which worried me, thankfully it has subsided a bit this morning, if it gets any worse I'll definitely check in with the nurses. I would definitely say it's worth you asking about this, so that you at least know what to expect, good luck with your cycle xx

That's so good your pain has lifted a little. Gosh, you have been lucky not to experience too much pain previously from your endo. I hope that this is a one-off flare up from your meds as sounds like last night was really intense! It was great to read all is looking good from your progress scans so wishing you loads of luck for a BFP on this cycle 🍍🤞 xx

Awh thanks so much! 😘 Yes I count myself as very fortunate indeed, fingers crossed it's not too intense from here but if we are successful it'll be 100% worth it!! Xx
