This might be my last attempt collecting my own eggs.

Hi. I’m on my first IVF cycle too (at the grand old age of 44). I’ve got my egg collection tomorrow morning. I was freaking out at the beginning, but it’s actually been fine. The injections become second nature after a little while and I’ve had very few side effects from the stims. And all the oestrogen has made my skin glow! 🤣. Wishing you the very best of luck xx

Ha! Thanks so much. I’ve been eating so healthily for the last couple of months (which is v strange for me), I’ve decided that I’m definitely treating myself to something naughty tomorrow! Wishing you all the luck in the world with your cycle ❤️

Hey I'm on my 5th day of stims and having my scan on Monday. Do you have your development scan booked in yet? Any questions, just ask 🙂To be honest I find all the waiting and anxiety over outcomes the hardest bit. The egg collection and transfer are fine.

Hi, I started stims on Monday 22 May and my first growth scan is tomorrow on bank holiday Monday. I've had 3 transfers from February/March 2022 - present:

*Early blastocyst - bfn

*3AB & early blastocyst double transfer - bfn

*2pn x 3 in freezer due to ohss risk & overstimulation

*Day 3 double transfer - bfn

Hey, it looks like you're due some good luck🤞 I hope your growth scan goes well tomorrow 🙏. Mine's not until a week on Monday. I've had lots of double early blastocyst transfers too. Tried to do some banking, and have two in the freezer. X

Yes I do. Thank you. Sometimes I wonder whether my 3AB would have implanted last year, the month before I started stims I had covid but recovered within a week. I've tried both day 5 and day 3 transfers. With my most recent day 3 transfer a couple months ago I started bleeding around day 8 post transfer, a week before otd. My whole protocol has changed including stims, extra progesterone (lubion) and immune support.The 3 I have in the freezer had to frozen immediately as I only had 3 and it ended being freeze-all. I'm not convinced that those embryos will be good quality as I was overstimulated and many of my follicles were empty which I have never experienced x

There's always 'what ifs' but COVID probably wouldn't have made that much difference, who knows. My first transfer was a 3AB and that failed too. I had coffee in the tww and regret that now. Probably would have made no difference what so ever, but it's hard not to overthink.

Yes totally understand re. "what ifs" etc. I really need a child for healing, comfort and my overall mental health and life. I have carried to full-term in 2020 however my little boy was born sleeping 💔

Hey, it's my 6th fresh cycle since last April (7th in total). I didn't think I'd have so many! 😔 I like the way you say "might" - same for me 😂

Oh so you're bleeding in-between cycles or you have a early pregnancy? In my successful cycle I bled to about 13 weeks x

Early pregnancy. I’m too scared to even say it. Had scans I have a SCH and baby ok so far. But still early days x

Excellent news! I know the feeling, an IVF pregnancy is so different. I hope things continue to be positive. Success at this age gives me hope. Keep us updated x
