Brown spotting/discharge

So last night and today I've had what seems like brown spotting or discharge. It's totally freaking me out and I keep crying thinking something is wrong. I've phoned out of hours number for advice and they didnt seem worried. They just said to mention it at 12 week scan on Tuesday. Anyone else experienced this? 😢

Hi Joanne I am so sorry you’ve been so worried but hopefully today things are a little better. Has the spotting eased? Tuesday feels like a really long way away but it really isn’t and the docs will be able to take a proper look at you. I have never been pregnant so can’t really help but just wanted to offer you some words of comfort.

Waiting is excruciating - I’m only 1dp5dt and I’m already feeling on edge.

Well I thought it had stopped and then had some more today. Been googling like crazy and everything keeps saying it can be normal. Doesn't help me stop worrying tho. Roll on Tuesday. Good luck to you, its such a stressful time for us all going through this.x

Ok well that sounds more positive doesn’t it? I can’t say not to worry because I know I’d be exactly the same but from everything you’re saying it’s pointing in the right direction.

Brown is good, it's old blood, and your little one is hopefully just nestling in tightly. Red blood and clots are more concerning. I don't know if you've miscarried before, but if you had, you'd know about it, it would be fleshy lumps. You're so close to 12 weeks, keep positive, you're nearly there!! Fingers crossed for you x

I had a MMC at start of year. So I should know the difference. It doesnt stop the worrying tho. Ive only had it once today, so fingers crossed that's it now.xx Thanks. X

I know, I'm only 6 weeks in myself and trying not to worry myself silly, not easy though. I'd do anything to be one of those people that get pregnant and actually get to feel excited!! No excitement here, just anxiety, panic and dreaded anticipation 😁

Brown is old blood as the others say but I know it's really hard not to worry! I had this too, mixed with some pinky red and my anxiety was off the scale. Hoping all is ok for you!xx

Its such a shock when u see it and I just went into panic mode. I've heard brown is old blood as well so fingers crossed. Hope you are doing ok.x

I’m 9 weeks pregnant and having the same issue bleeding/ spotting it’s brown mixed with red. I have been told to monitor for a a day and see how I get on by I am so worried but trying not to think too much about it. Hope everything goes well for you on Tuesday x
