Hi as I’m slowing creeping up to my 12 weeks it feels like forever.....
I think when you go though ivf and start your meds etc nearly a month before this could be why.
Iv had a really rough pregnancy so far.
So much cramping pain feeling really unwell bleeding etc back pain also Been in A&E too EPQ private scans etc .
This is the furthest Iv got after previous miscarriage.
I’m excited but so scared too.
My question is when u hit 12 weeks did u start to feel more human less cramps stretching less pain less sickness and coming off all your ivf medication did that help.
I’m on lubion injection cyclogest 2 x 400 mg
5 x 2mg of progynova
Thanks any advice
I so want to enjoy this pregnancy but feel so rough
I know I am so so blessed and I never forget that after years of ttc.
Thanks Sarah x

Hi there, I am in a similar boat to you, I am due to come off meds on the 31st Oct, I had been looking forward to that date and hoping it will finally let me feel more human, but I must admit as the date gets closer I am getting worried about flying solo! X
I came of my meds last week (cold turkey) and feel a million times better. Way less bloated as I think all the extra progesterone pessaries was making my stomach bloat more than a usual pregnancy. I feel like I have energy and can actually eat proper food. I still have the odd bout of sickness but nothing like it was!
I think it’s normal for most women even non ivf ones to feel much better. They say the second trimester is the dream stage, so I’m sure you will feel a lot better soon
I felt so much better once I stopped my meds end like you I was on Progynova, cyclogest and lubion. I think the meds exaggerate those first trimester symptoms and I definitely felt better once I stopped them! The cramping I got on and off until about 20 weeks though xx
I’m so sorry you have had a rough time of it, it’s so hard but will be so worth it and we are so blessed.
I can totally relate to how you feel. I felt exactly the same at 12 weeks coming off progesterone. I reduced from 2 suppositories to 1 a day for a few days then I forgot to take one and just then stopped. It was scared to stop cold turkey so though reducing was best thing. After a few days off them my spotting stopped completely which was great as I’d have brown spotting/discharge everyday so must have been progesterone.
I’m now 16 weeks and still worry about everything. I generally still have bouts of feeling rubbish most days, usually in afternoon or Evening, just feeling queasy or headache but not too bad. I have been pretty active lately pottering around house but i do get really tired still, my energy levels haven’t really come back.
I hope you start to feel better soon and can start to enjoy being pregnant xx
Hi, I just hit 12 weeks on Monday and had my 12 week scan yesterday. I have been on 2x Lubion and 2x Cyclogest per day, plus clexane. I stopped the clexane on Monday which I have to say made me the most nervous although my consultant said at this point the benefit is more to me than baby, and would really only be important if I was at risk of clots. So trying to trust that but it has been stressful. I also confirmed with him I could taper the progesterone so this week have moved to 1x day for each as opposed to 2x and then will do that until I run out.
I have to say, it wasn’t until end of the 11th week that I started feeling more myself. I still get bouts of nausea but much less severe and not as much of the day. I do get the occasional stretching cramp but nothing like what it was weeks 5-8. Xx
