I just wanted to know how anyone felt mental and physical after stopping all there IVF medication after 12 weeks
Iv not feel feeling great for my first 7 weeks a lot of cramps shattered no energy etc and I do wonder is some of it all the medication I’m on.
Lubion injection
Cyclogest 2x a day
Progynova 5 tablets a day
I’m just interested did it make a different apart from anxiety and stress and worried something going to go wrong, I really want to try and enjoy my first pregnancy. But have been feeling really not great.
Iv been told after 12 weeks you start to feel better in general ?
We do feel bless after what we have been though to fall pregnant I still can’t believe it when I type it.
Thanks any advice x

My sister and I have both had ivf, she has done it twice and she said every time she stopped the dreaded cyclogest at 12 weeks she felt a millions times better and a heck of a lot less bloated! I think for most women 12 week marks the start of a fresh wind of energy but even more so for those ivf of us dosed up on drugs for 12 weeks! This is my first ivf pregnancy and I’m waiting till my 12 weeks scan on tues and praying all is ok and will be very much looking forward to no more cyclogest!! I have mild IBS too and it’s made me soo much worse, my stomach already looks 6 months pregnant just a few hours after I’ve taken a cyclogest, so I’m really convinced it’s that xxxx
Hey I’m 13+ 3 and have daily sickness and tiredness since 6 weeks. I was hoping it would ease when meds stopped over a week ago as I seemed to feel worst after the progynova. For a few days it did (amd I panicked something was wrong!) but came back again A few days later but sickness not as intense. I’m still really tired though if I do anything energetic at all! Hope you feel better soon xx
Hello lovely, I stopped the progynova at 12 weeks but have continued with the progesterone until 16 weeks, only 5 days to go. I felt very anxious to come off the progesterone & at my 12 week scan I spoke to the midwife/nurse, she found a doctor for me speak to. He gave me a prescription for another month & told me there is no evidence of any benefit beyond 16 weeks. That makes me feel confident to come off it at 16 weeks. I definitely feel less sick these days but still very low energy & mood, which I’m putting down to anxiety. Although the nausea returns some days. Maybe coming off the progesterone will help? Wishing you lots of luck!
Hey, I was nervous to stop but the IVF nurses assured me it was fine and at my first obstetrician appointment at about 10 weeks she said there was no evidence for me to be taking anything at that point (but said she wasn’t telling me to stop, that was for my ivf doctor to decide.) I was EXHAUSTED the first 12 weeks and honestly it took a few more weeks after that to not feel super tired. Overall it was so nice to stop the medications though
I was on lubion, utrogestan, progynova and clexane. I started reducing at 8 weeks and finished completely at the end of week 10.
I am now 15 weeks with twins. The nausea has stopped and I have slightly more energy but generally still feel permanently tired. It will all be worth it in the end.
