Last few days of IVF medication to take me to the 12 weeks.

I’m starting to get worried something going to go wrong when I stop all my progesterone

I think where I had an early miscarriage last year this is playing in my mind and I bleed during this pregnancy it’s not helping.

My clinic are saying don’t worry but it’s easier said than done x

Hi I understand exactly how you feel but by now the placenta has taken over. Like you I had a previous miscarriage and bled in the pregnancy which resulted in my little girl so was scary stopping the meds but it was fine xx

I was literally just about to write a post just like this. I had a medicated FET and taking 3 X oestrogen a progesterone daily injection and a progesterone suppository in the evening. I have 3 injection vials remaining and feel nervous about just stopping all my meds and just hope the little one is ok about it. When I had a fresh transfer first time round I gradually weaned myself off the pessaries by having a day space in between. Little girl was fine. With this round I feel I have no other option but to stop because of the injections and oestrogen tablets. I am looking forward to being medicine free but feel very nervous about it xx

Wow it looks like there are a few of us at this stage!

I hit 12 weeks on Friday and am also worried about stopping my clexane and cylogest.

I am seeing a consultant after my scan on Friday who specialises in recurrent miscarriages and IVF pregnancies to discuss when to stop my meds but from what I can understand from the midwife I will be kept on clexane and aspirin possibly all the way till the end and weaned off the cylogest after 12 weeks.

I am struggling to close my jeans already and I think most of it is down to the cylogest so I kind of look forward to stopping that one! There is always something to worry about!

I’m also in the same boat here girls. I’m 12 wks this Wednesday. And my clinic is weaning me of from Friday. I’m really worried that maybe my own body hasn’t started to produce enough of its own hormones for me to stop medicated ones 😣

Hopefully some ladies on here that have gone through this might be able to share some advice and help put our minds at ease 🙏🤞

Hi Frogmore. Do try and remain positive. If you have sufficient supplies, you could slowly wean off any medication. Just wait until you see your little one at the 12/13 weeks scan. All worth it. Diane
