Good evening ladies. I’m pretty sure round 3 is about to end in a BFN. For the first time we have a frozen blast waiting for us. I have no idea how a natural FET cycle works ( if in deed il be advised to do a natural over medicated 🤷🏻♀️ I have no cycle/lining issues) Just really impatient to know how it works. My consultant isn’t in until Tuesday and no doubt it will take a while to get back to me.
TIA

Hi, usually you’re asked to use an ovulation predictor kit to test when you’re at your most fertile (LH Surge). You then inform your clinic when this occurs and they’ll then invite you in for a scan to confirm that you have a good lining of the uterus and you’ll undergo a blood test to confirm that you’re ovulating/having a surge. You should then be invited back 5/6 days later to have your frozen embryo transferred if you satisfy the above. The 5/6 days later is to account for the time it would usually take for the embryo to travel to the uterus in a normal (non IVF) conception. In my case I was given no medication although some people are given a trigger shot (progesterone) to help with their lining and to help maintain the pregnancy. Good luck..x
I’m hoping that because my cycles are regular, I ovulate on day 14 pretty much every month and have never had any lining issues that a natural FET will be the way to go. I’m just so convinced that this cycle has failed. It really helps to have a plan in place to progress as quickly as possible 😱🤦🏻♀️ Thank you again 💐Xx
I found a natural FET to be so much less stressful on my body. After my fresh cycle my body felt so bruised from all the injections and from the retrieval procedure. My body was also manipulated so far outside of its natural cycle that I think these factors became instrumental in the cycle failing. I have very regular cycles to (27 days) and no lining issues so allowing my body to go through a cycle naturally and simply have the transfer was much better for me. Hope this cycle works for you but if not I hope the natural FET yields better result....x
Ok thank you so much. It does sound a lot kinder on the body. Fingers crossed my consultant let’s me do one and I can get going as soon as possible 🥴 I can’t cope when I don’t have a plan in place! Thanks again 💐Xx
Hi, I’ve just had one and it was slightly different. Went for a scan on Day 8 (they normally do Day 10 but I ovulate early) and they checked the lining and that I had a dominant follicle and then asked me to use an OPK to test for my surge. I struggle with my lining so went back 2 days later and as I hadn’t ovulated but my lining was good they triggered me and I transferred 7 days later. Started progesterone after transfer. It’s a much quicker and easier process and soo much easier on the body than a medicated cycle. I’d do it again! Wishing you lots of luck xx
Thank you for the reply 👍🏻 Yes it probably differs clinic to clinic, patient to patient. I’m really hoping I can do a version of natural. I’m so fed up with all the drugs 😤 !! Thank you again 💐Xx
Hi I had a natural fet I just had scans took progesterone and steroids had more scans than normal but it worked and I’m now nearly 5 months pregnant xx
