Anybody else starting a medicated FET this month?

I will be transferring X2 day 6 frozen embryos (graded 5BB and 4BC+). Currently on pill to delay period for official treatment start date on Monday. Will be taking 6/8mg Estradiol, Fyremadol, Cytogest, Dalcin. Scan on day 12 and transfer booked for 16th Nov. Would be great to hear from anyone starting on a similar protocol. This is the end of my NHS cycle prior to private treatment ASAP if needed. Anxious as 41. Hope everyone is doing well 💖🍍

Congrats!! I just had my suppression check this morning for a 4ab transfer on November 19th. I had a cyst that appears to be going down in size and am waiting for a call to see if it’s releasing hormones. If it’s not they said we’ll continue but if it is, the FET will be delayed.

Sounds promising if it's going down 🙂 Protocols for FET seem so different. I started meds on Oct 26th (and on pill for 3 days prior to that), yet my FETs scheduled for Nov 16th. Seems so long?!! I don't get the suppression check scan until Nov 6th! Hope all goes well for you x

Wow, that is crazy how different everyone’s are! I was on BCP for 3 weeks, then today I start estrace, PIO injections start the 13th with the FET on the 19th. I also take suppositories at some point and medrol (steriod 4 days before). I’m so glad we’ll be able to be transfer buddies! Just got the call that we’re good to go!

Is this your first transfer?

Fab news that you can progress with this one! :) This is the completion of my only NHS funded cycle. I did collection in July and one 3AB transferred, which didn't stick. These two I'll be transferring around Nov 16th are the only ones I managed to freeze from 20 eggs. Just wondering which one of them may have been the lead egg produced naturally. Dreading the 2ww already, I'm not going to be able to resist testing early. Fingers crossed for us xx

I’m so sorry the first one didn’t work 😞 I’m in a similar boat. I had two cycles, producing 18 eggs total and was only able to get 2 normal embryos. It would be interesting to know the lead egg! Wish they could tell us that info

I'm sure these ones must be the ones that will make it then! Xx

Hi there - I just found out my 2 x 6 day frozen embryos (Which are currently away having pgs test) are 5bb and 5bc. Wishing you lots of luck!!!

Wow that's great you've got those lined up. Mine are day 6 too and similar grades. PGA or PGS wasn't suggested to me, maybe as I only had 3 to play with. Wishing you luck 🍀 too! Xx

Thanks! I’m 42 so the docs strongly suggested I do pgs. I really hope those grades are good. I’m frantically searching for success stories! Can’t wait to hear yours!

Such exciting news!! I’ve heard as long as PGS is normal, grades don’t matter as much since it’s a normal embaby!

I had a 4ab, 3ba and a 6aa. The 3ba came back abnormal but the other two came back normal. Will you transfer next cycle when you find out the results?

Yours look great though - all those As! Yes I’m having them put back in as soon as they tell me it’s going to be ok. They say I should hear back in two/three weeks. Fingers and toes crossed they are normal!

Keep us updated!!! The results usually come back quick, my clinic said 2-3 weeks and in one week they were back. Can’t wait to hear !! I know how hard it is to wait. And it’s fun to get to know the gender as well 🤗

Oh right - they tell you that in the UK? I'm in Canada (I'm British) and it's illegal for them to decided which sex to implant you with - they wouldn't tell me. Also, I think I'd like to try my hardest to keep it a surprise to myself haha!!

Oh interesting!! I’m in the US and yep they tell us. Not sure you can pick which to transfer based on sex but they’ll tell you which is which, it was too hard for me not to know haha! We’re transferring our best quality first!

I'll be 42 myself in April. Worrying where all the time has gone so soon! I've seen the stats for these grades and they look reasonable, especially if two are transferred. But as you say, real life stories are the ones which offer hope this is all worthwhile. Hopefully there'll be a few more stories soon! X
