Starting Again

Hi everyone,

So after my resent post about things not progressing with my current clinic. We have made the decision to move, we have an initial appointment next week. All treatment now is self funded as we are only able to have one cycle on the NHS here. They are doing scans and tests before our consultation with the consultant. I am hoping for a more positive experience. Certainly the forms that we have filled out have asked for more medical history than the last clinic.

Has anyone got any experience of changing clinic and it being a positive outcome? Just need a boost. Been feeling in limbo for so long.

❤️❤️❤️❤️

I don’t have experience of moving clinics but if it didn’t feel right you’ve done absolutely the best thing by moving 😊 good luck!! X

Thank you. I think this is such a sensitive thing. I just felt from start to finish of my 1st cycle something just didn’t feel right. I think us ladies know when things aren’t going our way.

I moved clinics and had such a great experience. The service and care were so much better than a previous clinic so I had no regrets about moving. I hope you have the same experience. Best of luck x

Hi lablover,

Sorry your original clinic didn't work out for you, it's an added stress you don't need but thankfully you have other options.

We made the very difficult decision to move clinic after receiving terrible aftercare following an ectopic pregnancy from our first round. It meant walking away from two NHS funded cycles but it was the best decision we could have made.

We checked out quite a few clinics, attending opening days, before making our decision and after two transfers we now have a perfect little boy and an embryo in the freezer.

I think it made a huge difference to our mental health and experience being at a clinic where we were listened to and where every option was discussed with us at length. The whole process felt a lot more calm which is just what we needed.

I wish you all the best for what's to come and hope that you feel much happier at your new clinic x

Hiya Duardo19,

We hope that moving to another clinic will mean we can start again. We only had one NHS cycle available to us, which they rushed to get me in for because of my age( you don’t qualify after 35) so we had no other investigations or treatments before this. Just straight into a fresh IVF cycle. It knocked me for 6 to be honest.I felt like cattle. Then after the failure! Nothing! They just said to try again with our frozen embies. Hoping that we can feel more confident with this new clinic. That they will actually discuss things before rushing us into a potential FET. It would be nice if we could maybe get a clearer picture of why we can’t conceive naturally.

Not hoping for miracles, but hope that this will change the way we view fertility treatment.

Thank you sharing for your positive experience 🙏❤️
