I am waiting for a call from the pharmacist to agree a delivery date. I’m going to feel on edge until they are safely here!
Hope this isn’t too forward, but do you/other people starting want to have a little WhatsApp group? We can complain about bloating, compare injection techniques and confirm the best snacks to cheer us up!
I was also expecting it to be at the back end of the year if anything really!! So definitely pleasantly surprised and really happy 😃
I definitely need to eat healthier!! Feel like I’ve piled on the pounds 😱 sugar addict over here haha 🙋🏻♀️
No, it’s my second attempt. I had my first round in feb, fell pregnant but had a missed miscarriage at 6.5 weeks. Miscarried at 10 weeks and that was only 4 weeks ago so it’s still quite recent but I’ve accepted it and moving on with a positive mindset! What about you? Xx
Ahhh really sorry to hear that you miscarried but it’s great news that you are in a good place now and ready to go again 😃. Do they have an idea of why it has happened twice?
Yes yes yes I am the biggest sugar addict going 🙈 I am going to try and be good now though. Having this to focus on and look forward will hopefully help us through lockdown
We have both started taking Impryl ... my husbands side of things aren’t great so I am hoping it’s hasn’t got much worse since the last time 😬
I have a daughter from the first go she is 5 now... FET failed with two embryos in November.
I’m going to opt for medicated I think just because I want to be more in control haha. I’m not sure what it entails though?! Are there any more injections?! Xx
They are suppositories and I think they are meant to balance out the pH for when you transfer. Haven’t taken them before but it’s worth a shot! Were any of your rounds successful?
I have a little girl but was a natural conception after my failed ivf xxx
I was an emotional wreck during my last cycle. They thought I’d over stimulate but the opposite happened (the reason I’m doing long instead of short this time). Hoping for good numbers this time though so we get some frozen!
I was okay as in I didn’t have the symptoms like headaches ect but I did get OHSS after the transfer it was a it stressful but I was pregnant so didn’t care I had it as I was too happy 🙈😂 xxx
Hey girls, I’m also over the moon, starting hopefully mid next week with the medication for FET! I’ve got all the meds already as we were supposed to start end of March... this will be my 4th attempt and I do have a good feeling about it this time but also to scared to believe that good feeling! Has anyone been on the progesterone injections? All the best to all of you xxx
Wooohoo this is exciting for you 😊 don’t be scared to be positive it’s great that you are ready to get going and feeling happy about it all. I am more excited his time then my other previous goes too.
I haven't had the progesterone injections before hun but sounds like this change in protocol for you could be exactly what you need to get the BFP 😀 xxx
Hi I was on the progesterone injections for the Failed FET in April- they cause of a lot of aching, but inject slowly I felt helped minimise the pain...
Hi I am due to start my second ivf, long protocol as soon as AF arrives - due end of May/begin of June (failed FET April so who knows how long AF will take to come)
Ahhh lovely 😊 have you got all your medication now? Sorry to hear you had a failed FET in April but we are all ready to get going now and looks like no one in the group is first timers lol xxx
Not yet I will start buserelin on day 21 so technically meds won’t start until 3rd week June so got time to arrange it all. It’s still a long time before things get going
How did they decide a short protocol for you if you don’t mind me asking? I had long first time and they said same again this time (even though I’m at a different clinic). Never been offered short
I am not sure if it’s because I got OHSS the first time or because I am regular periods ect as the issue we have is because my husband has very low sperm count. I feel like my clinic never tell me why they make their decisions. I did a medicated FET in November and they didn’t say why it wasn’t a natural xxx
Hmm maybe the OHSS thing, but I’m guessing we would all love short protocol less waiting time 😂. Anyway it is what it is - we put all our faith and trust into these specialists so go with what they recommend I guess fingers crossed we can all keep each other positive in this group 👍🏻😊- are you based in uk?
Hi ya ☺️Our clinic has just opened and we passed the first COVID triage stage on the phone. Got a face to face appointment next Friday to get assessed. I have asthma so a little worried about that and what that might mean for us. We are about 18 months into our IVF journey. I had two NHS funded egg collections last year (as I have low ovarian reserve) which resulted in four Frosties and then one FET last July which resulted in a negative result and no embies left to refreeze. My thyroid then went AWOL so been waiting for it to stabilise which it did in March of this year so we were about to have an appointment to start planning our treatment when COVID hit. 🤦♀️Hoping to do a fresh transfer (now privately funded) for our next round. How about you? Is this your first cycle? xxx
Awww sounds like you have been through a lot over the last 18 months. It’s great that you are getting seen next week 😊 nice to feel your getting somewhere isn’t it.
Are you taking any supplements this time?
I have a daughter from first attempt 😊 I had failed Fet in November so no embryos left will be fresh this time. I am just praying husbands count hasn’t got worse 🙈 we have never in 8 years had a natural pregnancy xxx
Good luck with your cycle 👍. Hoping all goes well for you this time.
I am meant to start on day 19 of my cycle, which is 8 days away but I doubt if I will be able to start as my clinic has just reopened and I have not been told to go ahead. I have all my medications with me as my cycle was cancelled for early April.
My first failed cycle was short protocol but I am going to have a long protocol now.
