I was told that if you are under 35 years of age they would recommend one but if you are over 35 years of age they would recommend two because the changes of them attaching go down. Hope this helps

I transferred 2 and am 19 weeks with twins. There has been loads of twin pregnancies announced on here lately too. Only do it if you can afford the cost of twins and you have no other health issues. I’m practically on bed rest and I’m only 19 weeks - physically it’s very very hard - luckily my older daughter is at school

Now and also i work from Home otherwise I’m not sure how I’d cope! 🤣

Hi

I also transferred 2 but I m now at 8 weeks with single alhamdullah.. If your clinic allow then why not 2 have chances.. If not implanted both one will definitely do inshallah... New research said that embryo glue wouldn't effect implantation but do research on your own. Best of luck for ur transfer

Hi Congratulations, I've just had 2 transferred after many failed attempts decided to go with 2 this time as I'm older. Is there anything you can recommend in particular I should be eating/drinking to help implantation. TIA x

Thank you pinkroseU did right thing of transferring 2 because this also proved lucky for me although only one implanted.

I ate pineapple 3 days before and on day of transferring and one day after transfer. And also ate Brazilian nuts 2 nuts daily onward till pregnancy test.

Drink a lots of water stay positive and think positive and pray and pray to God. Inshallah this time will be lucky one for you. Finger crossed🤞baby dust and praying for your bfp🙏

It is up to you how many embryos you wish to transfer. If you have lower grade embryos it might be a good idea to transfer 2. My clinic only did this if the embryos were of a lower grade and if over 40. HEFA are trying to promote the one at time campaign. They say one baby at a time is more healthier and less chance of premature births. You should look it up, just type HEFA one at a time and this will give you more info. I think it does depend on grading and age as well.

I thought originally it would be nice to have twins but for me I am glad I only had one baby at a time as twins are more expensive and harder work. But, one of my neighbours had triplets naturally as well as one singleton and she has managed just fine.

Hi, I always defer to this research (see link) when this question comes up. So I would transfer one irrespective of your age AND irrespective of the "one at a time" campaign (although I agree with that also). You have 2 chances that way as one will remain frozen xxx

Embryo glue research is inconclusive.....so I guess that's a more difficult question to answer. I was offered it many times but chose not to use xxx

I was considering using Embryo glue and spoke with the embryologist before our FET and they said it does not make a difference when doing a frozen transfer so we did not go for it. But again I guess it depends on your clinic also... best of luck xxx

Hi, I’m 32, I transferred 2 frozen embryos and used embryo glue and I’m currently 36 weeks pregnant with 1 baby! My embryos were both 5AA. Was advised of risk of multiples especially due to being under 35 but it worked for me! Good luck xx

Hi, on my first attempt 2 embryos were transferred and didn’t use embryo glue and it failed, my second attempt again had 2 put back in with embryo glue and now 9 months pregnant with just the one baby !! Always took the doctor’s recommendation of putting 2 back in and not saying the embryo glue was the reason it worked as I also paid to have the scratch done and had an operation between ivf’s to remove a polyp - good luck 🙏 x

Hi there.

I had to make this choice too and I know how hard it is to make. I decided on having 2 put back in the end. I felt like that gave me the best shot as I only had 2 viable embryos so another shot with a frozen one didn’t look likely to be successful. I thought once they were in there my body would give them the best chance they had.

I’m so glad I went for it with 2, I’m almost 10 weeks now with one healthy baby.

I never had the option of glue if I had I would have opted for it though.

If you can take the risk that you could have multiples then I’d say go for it with 2, it may give more of a chance ♥️♥️

Hi I’m having 2 Embryos transferred end of this month but I’m 42., it’s my first ivf cycle. The chances are higher with 2 but again think of the cost of you can afford twins and if you’re body can take it. As for the embryo glue I spoke with the embryologist about it and they said there’s no conclusive evidence that it works but it’s up to the individual. I hope this information helps and good luck in your journey x

We were offered the chance to transfer 2 on our first icsi cycle. I’m 37. We only had two embryos, but both didn’t look like they’d make it to day 5. It’s such a personal decision. Hubby and I decided to go for it because we are not getting any younger. Our reasons included: 1. If anything, my body will be better now to house two than later (younger is better). 2. With Covid ramping up again in the UK we didn’t know when we could try again if it did fail. 3. My other embryo would likely arrest, so we wanted to give the best chance now. I think if I had two top grade day 5 embryos, I may have chanced one at a time. I’m currently 5 weeks now, no idea if twins or not. We figure if twins, I’m in good shape with no underlying health conditions and I trust the Uk health care system to help us deliver safely. Hope that helps

I transferred 2 embryos and I also used embryo glue cos I didn't want to take any chances. I am 22weeks gone with Twin( a boy and a girl), everything is going okay . If you can afford it like others have stated , would advice you should go with 2. All the best in whatever decision you make ...

I’ve also got to make this decision- it’s so hard! We used a donor egg as I’m 43 and was told it’d be highly unlikely to happen naturally. We had 4 good embryos on day 2 and so waiting to find out tomorrow how many have reached blastocysts.

I know the risks involved with 2 but also want to give it our best shot. Think you’ve just got to do what feels right at the time depending on how many good ones you have and listen carefully to the advice given. Eek! Good luck!

Hi 786x,

I had one embryo transferred on my first cycle but ended in miscarriage.

For my second cycle I had two embryo transferred. I am currently pregnant with one child! I am under 30 and personally I believed this was the right choice.

Do what you heart tells you to do 💛

Hey

Thanks for this. Did u use embryo glue?

I’m 28 ..29 in feb with PCOS and my heart believes 2 will be best. My clinic has strongly advised against it outlining the complications and chances of triplets so my mind and heart are now battling the decision.

Best of luck with your pregnancy ...

My clinic advised me not to go ahead with two embryos. They tried very hard to convince me and my husband but I didn’t agree. They also said the same to me they told you.

I also have PCOS too x

Good luck x

I’ve had 4 transfers, in the first 3 we transferred 2 each time. I had a BFP on one round which sadly ended in a MMC with twins. On the last transfer we transferred 1 embryo, even though we had 3 frozen, and used embryo glue. We got a BFP on Friday. Our Consultant strongly advised us to transfer one. Personally I’d go on the advice of the clinic as they’re the experts and have the detailed understanding of the bigger picture x
