Hi

They down regulate you, so put you in a state of menopause to shut the ovaries down. You then start taking oestrogen so many days into the cycle then progesterone to prepare the uterus for the transfer. The oestrogen and progesterone need to be continued after transfer until test day.

Hope this helps

I was slightly different from CharlieW1985 where I didnt down regulate. I just had my period then on day 2 started estrogen to thicken my lining, a few scans to check for thickness and quality and then added omin progesterone once transfer day was organised.xx

hi there,

I'm in the process of FET and have my day 10 scan on Monday. Hopefully lining will be thick enough. Just wondered if you have to have a blood test to check Progesterone levels before frozen transfers too, as my fresh transfer was cancelled due to high progesterone. Getting quite nervous.Tia x

Hi! Yes I’ve had 2! They start you with a baseline scan first day of your period and then medication- progynova. They’ll schedule another scan a week later and to start Cyclogest pessaries. Transfer to be 5 days after that. It’s like a smear only longer. Insert a catheter and pop the little emby in and then it’s left to do it’s magic!xx

Hi, clinics do different protocols for this. I’ve had a natural FET so didn’t take any medication until after transfer. I had a scan on Day 8 to check my lining and that I had a document follicle, which I did. I then started checking for ovulation (I normally ovulate around Day 10 or 11) and went back for a scan on Day 11. Lining was great and I’d not ovulated so they triggered ovulation and did the transfer a week later. I started progesterone straight after the transfer. Good luck! xx

14 days of prognova, then lining check scan and then adding prometrium pessaries 3 times a day for five days then transfer. No birth control or lupron is given by my clinic for fet

I did an artificial cycle. They put me on BC first, then on estrogen and progesterone when my lining was thick enough they scheduled me for the frozen transfer.

The clinic will schedule everything for you and they will choose an artificial of natural cycle depending if you ovulate regularly or not. It worked for me, I am so blessed to be 13 weeks pregnant and so far everything is great.

Best of luck to you, just trust that the clinic will create a good protocol based on your individual needs.
