Welsh patients receiving treatment in England

Hi All.

Found myself here, just need to get it off my chest really. My anxiety is building up and I just feel I need to share my feelings to try and reduce the load. I'm a same sex couple, I've had IUI privately which failed, we were referred to the NHS for tests which took about 6 months. Once we got first IVF appointment in England we were yold, that because we were welsh patients we had to wait on a 12-18 month wait list before treatment can start. Were now just over one year wait and to be honest we've had no communication, and when I've phoned up I've not always had the best reception. Anyone else in a similar situation?

Hi Melonay. So sorry to hear about your long wait. Why not try and speak with the hospital/clinic manager? Hopefully he/she will have a better line you can speak on! Otherwise you will have to email them I suppose. Not good at all, but I do wish you both well when you eventually get started. Diane
