Egg Collection 🤩🥰

Tomorrow is egg collection and I’m not going to lie I am soooo nervous!

This is my first time with IVF so I’ve had no idea what to expect through it all. I had my trigger shot injection last night at 10.15pm. I have lots of follicles growing 6+ in each ovary over the size of 16mm.

What should I expect from tomorrow??

I’ve just had my 1st round. Sadly didn’t work out for us but I would say I was like you before egg collection! No sleep the night before, sobbing whilst waiting to go in (I’m not usually like that) and generally feeling super apprehensive.

It was fine. I had sedation, don’t remember an awful lot other than the sedation was like having a whole bottle of wine ha ha! I was up and about after 30 minutes and felt a bit sore (period like cramps) but otherwise absolutely fine.

They’ve told me I’ll have gas and air so I’m guessing I’ll be awake throughout the procedure x

I was awake (ish) too. I remember it, just didn’t feel any pain whatsoever and it was over and done with very quickly. You will be absolutely fine x
