Symptoms at 7 weeks

Hi so I am 7 weeks pregnant today following FET on 20th July. I am having my first scan next Monday so very anxious and excited at the same time to hopefully hear everything will be ok.

Since the positive pregnancy I have experienced light spotting (not enough to fill a pad) and light cramping on and off, more off than on. Doesn't feel like af cramping but more of a sickly feeling. In the last week or so, I have been feeling slightly nauceous and the smell of meat outs me off. I haven't paid for a private scan which I was considering doing to put my mind at ease but decided to wait for Monday.

I just thought I would post this to reach out if anyone experienced or is experiencing similar symptoms? X X x

Hi Olivia, I've had a fresh 5 day blastocyst transfer on the 20th. But I am 6 weeks and 5 days pregnant. I have my scan on the 25th and it is so nerve wrecking. I've been having on and off cramps and also lower back pains which have made me really nervous as they similar to my miscarriage pains. I do feel nauseous some days but it varies from morning and evening and I've put it down to when 2 hours after my pessaries so not sure whether its pregnancy or pessaries related.

I decided not to go for a private scan as during my other pregnancy which ended in a miscarriage. I had a bleed around 6 weeks and the initial scan didnt show much so the weeks wait made me more anxious and I don't think I can mentally go through that again. But I am more nervous about my scan now on Tuesday and I really hope I see a viable pregnancy witha good heartbeat.

I dont even do a pregnancy test as even with miscarriages it would still show positive.

Good luck with your scan and pregnancy x

Hi Sammy, thanks for your input. Am so sorry to hear what you've been through. It's so mentally draining to worry about your symptoms not knowing what's going on inside. I am constantly reading the NHS website and the ovia pregnancy app looking for common symptoms. I pray next week we can both share positive news! Although I want to pay for a private scan, I think I will know soon enough next week. Good luck and look forward to seeing your updates. Good luck and thanks again for sharing x

This journey is so hard and I wish it wasnt tainted with negativity. I'm trying to lay off Google now as googling about back pains was showing more signs of an offset for a miscarriage as oppose to a viable pregnancy. I dont think any of us IVF warriors will be able to thoroughly enjoy the pregnancy until we hold our miracle babies in our arms xx

Hi Olivia, I am 6 weeks today (has my first fresh cycle and 5day blast transferred on 25th July). My scan is not until 28th which seems like a long was away I will be 7 weeks 4 days then.

My boobs are a little sore and heavy and I feel occasional nausea, plus I need to wee all the time. Since Friday I have been having some brown discharge/spotting on and off, not much but still concerning and a little cramping.

I rang my clinic this morning as I’ve not had any blood tests so didn’t know if they could do any to check my progression I said I was concerned having had previous miscarriages and I have now been booked in for a scan on Wednesday, So hoping all is as it should be. Even though I know it will be early and may not see anything and make me more anxious!! 😫

I’m hoping we are both just experiencing normal symptoms for our stage and we go on to have long and healthy pregnancies xx

Hi , i has my Fet on 25 July so think I’m 6 weeks too. I’ve had occasional feeling sick especially with string smells and also had some back pain last week on one side. I’ve to wait til 26 August for scan. I’m finding the time from getting a positive to going fir scan harder than the 2ww. Good luck everyone x

It’s so hard isn’t it! I don’t know how I am functioning every day! I’m trying to stay off google! Even when I think I have a symptom I start thinking I’m imagining it!

Hey good luck for your appointment on Wednesday. It's great they could arrange an earlier appointment which will hopefully bring you good news and put your mind at ease 🙏🤞 hopefully we both have some good news to share. It seems like we are all experiencing similar symptoms although I haven't noticed any changes or soreness with my chest. GOOD Luck and look forward to hearing your updates x
