Ladies, pleased to report a very smooth transfer of one top grade embryo this morning. My wee beauty had divided already into 8 cells ππ» I seen the flash of light on the monitor as clear as day go zooming in which I always feel is a good sign.
I was fortunate enough to get the most senior DR in my Clinic, who by coincidence did my very first transfer who is now 4 years old π€πΌ
My second embie has only divided into 4 cells π However they will continue growing until Monday....but I know everything happens for a reason and am focussing on the positives and feel so lucky to have the single wee beauty onboard.
Can any ladies give me advise on when to stop my ubiquinol please ? I have been taking 200mg daily for last 3-4 months. I asked the DR on duty today she says stop now as there is not enough evidence to prove if safe taking whilst pregnant. However my clinic are against anything except folic acid & vitamin d. I guess am best just to stop although my research is should do no harm and can help prevent miscarriage which I had couple years back ....
We never stop worrying do we π₯΄
Anyway good luck to all women as always on this forum . You are quite simply the best

Fantastic, first Saturday transfer for me, hopefully the last. Same to yourself. We have done all we can itβs in Godβs hands now ππ»
Glad the transfer went well. If it was me personally I would not take it if it could be harmful in pregnancy. Miscarriages are horrible & bring more fear ( normally a one off event) & usually something not quite right with baby ( not that makes it any less sad) I am sorry for your loss. Just because that pregnancy didnβt work out doesnβt mean the next one wouldnβt. Most women who miscarry will go onto to have a healthy baby. Hope this cycle brings you a sibling for your child. I really wanted a sibling for our daughter so totally get it m. Good luck xxx
Congrats on your transfer! Iβve always been told to stop anything with q10 after egg collection so I would definitely stop it now youβve got your embie on board xx
The latest edition of βit starts with an eggβ suggests it helps with lining and to keep taking it until transfer. It goes on to say there is no reason not to take it after transfer and to get advise from your clinic. To play it safe will stop from today.
You know what like you absolutely overthink everything. π
Whoop! Great news! Masses of luck for your 2ww! Still no clearer on ubiquinol sorry!! π€―π€―
Thanks so much, am now joining you on the dreaded 2ww it will feel like 2 months π
I rewarded myself by a trip to the shops to buy a large pineapple π plus big bag of Brazil nuts not forgetting the McDonalds for lunch. Looking forward to some non - alcoholic cider I have chilling in the fridge π
Thanks Rose, not long now until yours and we can drive each other mad during the 2ww. My OTD is 23/08 and I am definitely not testing early as been there done that and itβs a massive head f**k so I will be keeping very busy π
Haha yep! Dreading the 2ww!! Yeh deffo try and avoid testing early, its not worth it. Although last time my clinic seemed to give me a date that was earlier than most and so technically i didnt test early but seemed to be compared to others π€·ββοΈ X
I know I drove myself mad last time πlesson learned. My clinic are 15 days for a 3 day transfer. Cannot believe my OTD is the Sunday we are away staying at my sister-in-laws. We will be due home the Sunday evening as itβs a long drive. I think we will have to delay it until first thing on the Monday. I figure whatβs an extra day !
I know but you are right will be a good distraction. I wanted to do it there in morning but my DF pointed out kids around and long drive home. I reckon by then if no bleed I will have nailed it ... am already wishing it away π
I am freaking out as completely forgot to ask about embryo glue .... with all the stuff going on about the quality I forgot. I think from memory my Clinic now use it with every transfer. They will know from my history as well that I have had it in past. Will double check Monday. Itβs one of those other things they are not sure helps.
Mind you only time never had it was with my first one that ended up a live birth π
Yeh i think its better to do when theres nobody else around. Yes, hopefully!!
Oh ive not heard of that to be honest! Its so confusing isnt it with what we should/shouldnt be doing and I always always forget to ask questions when im there π. X
Basically the glue may or may not help the embryo attach to uterus. My clinic uses to do as an add on but when I got my cycle last year they did with every transfer as studies show it may help.
Anyway thinking of you & hoping you have a nice smooth transfer today. Will be watching on here to see how you get on π€πΌππ»π
Everything went ok, one was good enough to be put back in today which it was and the other 3 they aren't sure yet, they are giving them one more day and will call tmrw but realistically its looking like only one will be suitable for freezing so fingers crossed we at least get that one as well as i was so gutted we has nothing to freeze last time.
My OTD is the 22nd!! Let the anxiety and symptom spotting begin π€£
Ooooh am so pleased to hear your transfer went ok and you have one lucky embryo onboard am so hopeful for us both. We deserve this π€πΌππ»
Really rooting for your other ones glad they are growing another day. I havenβt heard how my second one got on. Got a feeling they are giving it another day and I will hopefully hear good news tomorrow π€πΌ
Last night I yelled out loud at a very distinctive twinge and woke up with same twinges this morning. But I know I will be analysing everything π
Am feeling ok just doing my own head in about whether to continue with Ubiquinol... canβt remember if I asked you if you took it? I just know of all the research I have done it will do more good than harm so I had a day off it yesterday while I did more research and today I decided to take it. This was after me deciding not to as my Dr advised against it after transfer but bear in mind my clinic advise against all vitamins and supplements apart from Folic acid and vitamin d. As itβs my first grade 1 embryo in 5 years well I think it speaks for itself and if I had listened to them I wouldnβt be in this position now. π
Anyway just realised my OTD will be the day after yours, 23/08 ( as I had a 3 day transfer itβs slightly longer). But I canβt test until 24/08 due to being away that weekend. It feels like a lifetime away π
No sorry, i didnt take it. Its so hard isnt it as theres always conflicting advice about what to do and what not to do π€·ββοΈ. I find myself on google constantly after every stage Trying to do the right things. Sorry i cant help with that.
Oh yeh you will be testing after me, i kind of want it to go quick but dreading it a little bit also.
I got a call from the lab today saying one of the others has developed to a blastocyst and they are happy to freeze it but the 2 others have stopped developing. The one they are freezing is better quality than the one they put back yest so now im sure il be overanalysing that π€£.
Still feeling positive though as we didnt have anything to freeze after the first round!
I know what you mean although I have been in this game now for a good few years am still a frantic Googler at all the stages.
I also cannot stop eating, am a nervous eater, if am worried I eat to take my mind off it ππ€£
That is fantastic news you have one for the freezer so pleased for you π
I wouldnβt worry too much about the grades, I read on here so often about a not so good grade implanting but a much better grade not. Itβs a bloody lottery and am keeping my fingers crossed we both hit the jackpot π€πΌπ
Yeh I'm so glad. Yeh thats what i was thinking about grades, obviously the first thing i did when they told me was go online and try find success stories with that grade π€£ but read that it often doesnt matter!
Me too, would be amazing if it worked for both of us! ππ
I did exact same regarding the grade then thought am allowed to be excited as this is my first grade 1. It had already divided into 8 cells be transfer day so hoping it is now busy hatching out of itβs shell.
Thanks Luna, now the long long wait. Pineapple purchased just away to hack into it and start eating it warm from tomorrow morning. For Brazil nuts too. Who knows if it works as I have done it every transfer and well mixed results ....x
Hope all is going well , lol I am sick of Brazil nites and pineapple but if itβs helping then Iβll keep eating - some in the night with cramping so just praying itβs not AF have a fracking headache too today!! Itβs hard to know what is your body and what is the meds causing these symptoms!! Anyway hope your 2 ww is going well xx
I know what you mean, so this morning was eventful I actually choked on a Brazil nut.... blasted things. Yes letβs hope all worth it in the end. This time I never bothered with pomegranate juice as actually canβt stand taste π From day 1pt I have felt quite distinctive, intense twinges/cramps but yes itβs hard to know if itβs the effects of the progesterone. I feel like first week is dragging but no doubt 2nd will speed up and I will be like slow down as although excited very anxious. Trying to focus on positive thinking π€ x
Oh gosh thank goodness your ok, lol Iβm with you in the pomegranate juice - not keen didnβt try it last time but got some in for this cycle - Iβm mixing it with pineapple juice and much nicer π
Yeah hard not to analyze but I think all we can do is take it a step at a time! Xxx
Great news, well done. Sorry I can't offer any advice but I would be inclined to go with the clinics advice. Wishing you the very best of luck xx
Good stuff, we'll done!! It's hard to know about the ubiquinol, I always had questions like that... but I wish you all the luck, strength and joy. Exciting!!! Xx
Hi well I decided to stop after transfer as well it is usually recommended for quality only. Itβs just I had read online about it benefitting for transfer and even up to getting BFP. But am still unsure so just stopped.
