finally PUPO!!

So it took me a while to understand this acronym and wish I'd seen it earlier because I always wondered how we should approach the tww.

Makes sense that we assume we are pregnant until told otherwise and take all the precautions as normal.

Well it's official - we have 2 embryos on board! Grade BC apparently but fully expanded, perfectly thawed and no cells damaged either. So we're very happy - lining all perfect also. However it was the last cycle also (!) And resulted in bfn.

Little sore from transfer but I feel far better health-wise this cycle and hoping it's our time. We've crossed off all the extra meds (steroids lubion clexane etc) and I feel we're giving it our best shot!

I'm under 35 so risk of twins is high and more dangerous but I can't help secretly hope we do have them!

oTD is Xmas Eve (!) I hope I last that long 🤩

Yay we did it lol. Funnily enough I do feel quite relaxed and I'm enjoying this feeling atm. Hopefully will continue and I don't get the dreaded crazies in the tww.

Have a lot going on so should be enough distraction !

Don't need to tell me about the 2W crazies. I feel like I'm still kinda going through a 1W crazy before the scan. Glad you're chilled out and relaxed. That's how it should be. No hot water bottles on your tummy. Get the pineapple in quick, and wear warm fleecy socks if you have laminate or wooden floors. x

The socks haven't left my feet since this morning ! Utterly freezing lol

Did a massive grocery shop today and will have to work my hardest to get through all the healthy foods ! Enough to feed the whole street lol

Tommy’s will be giving me weekly reassurance scans. My first one with them is the 8th of January. My first scan at my fertility clinic is 3rd of January due to the Christmas break. Could be waiting weeks to hear off consultant antenatal haematologist at the hospital though... xx

Could you not arrange a private scan earlier before Christmas?

Yes the hospital can take their time but at least you are aware of your issues and I assume on the correct regime of blood thinners.

Try to relax in knowledge youre already doing the right things

I’m on blood thinners, not sure if they’re the correct dosage but hopefully we’ll see that consultant sooner rather than later 🤞🏻

I probably could get a private scan but I’ve decided I’m going to hold out as long as I can xx

I've had 2 failed cycles so I'm hoping this increases our chances. I know full well it may just not work but at least I feel like we've done all we can rather than have regrets.

Thankfully that's never been an issue for me and I do realise how lucky I am.

Sometimes though if everything's perfect and it still fails it does leave you scratching your head so I'm cautious not to get too excited.

Just want to nest in at home now for the holidays !

When do you start your cycle ?

Yes lots of relaxing and positive thinking now! I hope to start my cycle with next AF around Christmas Eve but will depend on day it starts and if I can get scans done with the holiday season....if not the next month! Just have to wait and see.xx

If I do get a BFP it will clash with my first nephews wedding ! Typical eh?

I was desperately trying to manipulate dates but in end I just had to give in and go with the flow.

There is always something that gets in the way! I think Ive missed all of my friends 40ths and my own doing treatment....so annoying but there will be plenty other good times and even more with a little one!! Im sure you'll still enjoy it. Im not really in the mood for Xmas, hubby is always a grump at this time of year and I cant be bothered this year....just want to get going!! Ha ha ha Will enjoy being off work though so hope to pamper myself a little. Thank you!xx

My hubby is 'injured' and off work for three weeks for a little leg swelling!

Grumpy doesn't even cover it! Thank God he won't be delivering the babies eh ! Think he'd need a year off 🤣

I'm sure I'll find a way to enjoy the wedding .... Maybe Skype myself in!

Thank you 😊 it would be a complete turnaround from last Xmas when father in law was given a 6month terminal

cancer diagnosis !

(Fortunately it was a wrong diagnosis but we didn't find out until mid January so that was a ruined Xmas and New year's.

Would be lovely to break the news to in laws as my hubby is their only child and this their only chance at grandchildren 😪

I don't know why but suddenly I started getting symptoms today - sore boobs, little bit of aches etc

Don't know if it's in my head lol.

Have just drink my pomegranate juice and trying to eat healthy as possible.

Definitely starting to feel the fatigue again so will take it easy as much as possible
