So I've had the call from the embryologist and she had said that ET will go ahead today, but only 2 of them are suitable for transfer.
She said one has divided into 7 cells but wasn't too grade and the other one was top grade but has only split into 4 cells currently but she said that will hopefully continue to split nicely.
She gave me the option to either put both back in or just one but whatvever I decide there is none that are able to freeze!! 😢
So this is our only chance!!
What I would like to know is if there are any success stories out there with people who have conceived with not the best graded embryos?
Xxx

Im in a similar position to you but as you know Im in the 2ww I had none to freeze but I did have a 5 day blastocyst put back which was moderate quality I had a reply from a lovely lady who said she was also told hers weren't great grade and she became pregnant so it's all about how the embryo takes- a grade AA doesn't notate to a successful pregnancy so keep positive ️xxx
Hi emma-jane-30. This does tend to happens loads! I have been in this business more than 20 years now, and have had many successes with 4-cell embryos, that have gone on to do well. Just trust your embryologist, as he/she will be watching them well. Hope all goes OK with the transfer today. Thinking of you. Diane
Thank you for your reply Diane, I think I worry just for the fact that it's day 3 and they are only at 4 cells, so I just worry that it's not going to continue inside me x
Hey Emma, thank you firstly for sharing your update. Hopefully your little embies will continue to flourish, don't loose heart ok. It's gona be a tough tough choice for sure, but consider this.....only you will know what's right Emma, it's ofcourse good advise to get opinions. I wish you well and I'm sure you will do what's right for you at this stage if your life.
Thank you very much for your reply, we have de used to put both bk in as this is our only go due to them not being able to freeze any. I just hope that they continue to grow in my womb where is nice and safe x
We too went and had two put back, the wife is currently 39 and we're on NHS so it was advised but ultimately it was our choice. You have to look at it this way... if this wer a "natural" pregnancy, then we would have been none the wiser right? So like us, remain positive, and it is what it is and all you do now is just Do everything possiable to look after the little ones Emma. Sprinkling plenty of baby dust.
Yes your very right, I think I was just a little upset that there were none to freeze, so this is our only go, so fingers crossed 🤞 for us and you guys.
I was in a similar situation as only had 2 fertilise out of 4. As we were NHS funded and I am 31 we could only have 1 put back and by ET day we had one at 7/8 cells and the other was a slow developer at 4 cells. We were told that the 7 cell was grade 2 or 3 and are now in the 2ww.
I'm staying positive as people have success with all sorts of grades. Good luck to you whatever you decide in the end. If I have been allowed to go for the two I probably would have xx
Good luck with ET Emma, I hope everything goes ok for you. Try not to worry too much from here on, just take care of yourself and those embies. Wishing you lots of luck x x x
