Round 2...just history repeating?

Proper moaning post, so sorry in advance.

So, first round was last year, had one not quite blasto which didn’t stick, and nothing for the freezer.

This time around, had ET yesterday of a “very early” blasto....and just got the call that we’ve got nothing for the freezer...again.

I know I should be grateful we’ve got one on board, but just feel so gutted that there’s no fall back. Again

I know it only takes one, but seriously?! Literally all our egg in one basket!🤦‍♀️

Iv done a lot of round of ivf I don’t have a great history with freezing my most successful round I had 2 transferred and one to freeze it’s frustrating but I think a lot of it is down to protacol I always feel disappointed when they tell but but try to see the positive in at least having something to transfer .... my next round is a freeze all 🙈it’s a massive risk but because of Covid I don’t have a choice xx

I know its tricky - focus on the fact you have got a nearly blasto all tucked up in there!

if its any consolation I have done 4 rounds so far, never had anything for the freezer and only ever got to blasto once, so actually you are doing better than a lot of us have done!

Sounds exactly like our first and only round so far! Wishing you massive luck with your transfer yesterday. Do you have any idea why you're not getting good blastocysts? For us, it was the prompt to do some extra digging and we've discovered my husband has very high DNA fragmentation - we've been advised that we need to try and improve this to get better results when we try again. But as they say it only takes one, fingers crossed for your one now xx

The moment that you are least positive about may end up being the one that works, and vice versa. Ivf teaches me (daily) that gut instinct, good eggs, bad eggs - are all very relative. We NEVER know when it will work. But I REALLY hope now is your time!! 💪🏼💪🏼
