Hi! We did icsi in 2017 and our first transfer worked! We now have a two year old daughter. I have pcos and my husband has low morphology (1%) and we tried for 5 years on our own, then tried clomid, then did a timed cycle, then move to icsi.

What would you recommend anyone who is new to icsi .

It’s so similar to IVF so all the same prep work for that, really. We both took fertilaid supplements starting 3 months before egg retrieval and I took a whole host of additional supplements as well to improve Egg quality. My husband avoided hot baths, etc. I ate a fertility boosting diet. And we tried to stay relaxed!

Was clomid for your husband ( sorry if this is a dumb question ) my husband thinks his only problem is low sperm count but he actually has low sperm count, motility and morphology 😭😭😭😭 he has no clue! I’m

Trying to find out so I can ask the clinic privately for advice for his side of things . Why don’t men get it? 🙄

We never actually tried it for him! I wonder if we should have. It didn’t make me ovulate at all. We moved to femara and that didn’t do the trick either. I believed I ovulated with the timed cycle (had a trigger shot) but his sperm wouldn’t have made it far. We didn’t know about his morphology at that point. Yes, men are a bit clueless huh?
