But more so for each and every one of you battling through infertility

I am, after many years at the end of my journey, a terrible, heartbreaking at times journey.

I suffered serious health complications partially due to our fertility treatments, that will unfortunately stay with me for the rest of my life.

But every ensuing illness complication I have and will face has been 100% worth it.

We have been one of the lucky ones, we now have a very healthy, happy 5 month old little bundle of mischief.

From the moment we 1st took him out I faced people constantly asking if he was my Grandson.... whilst upsetting at 1st I now keep eye contact with the person asking and ask them why would they think that.... putting the embarrassment back on them and promptly walk away with my head held high, proud of my hard fought for little miracle.

We ended up using Donor eggs... to the Donor I will never be able to put into words the gratitude we feel for her granting the one thing my beaten up body refused to produce. And to those making the agonising decision of whether to do it, whether you would love the child as your own.... yes, you will love and adore them every bit as much as if they were from your own eggs... We are constantly told by people who do not know our journey how much our amazing little man looks like his Mummy. Sometime I correct them if I feel the moment is right, other times I just say thank you and grin like the proud Mummy I am.

I just wanted to stop by and thank each and every person who has commented, messaged and encouraged me on here, each and everyone of you are fighting one of the most difficult battles you will ever fight and I truely hope and pray you are victorious x

What a great post! Thanks for sharing your journey and lovely words of encouragement. Even though I am also one of the few lucky ones who found success, as an older mum, your words really touched me. I hope motherhood is bringing and continues to bring you all your heart’s desires and more 💕
