Hi Ivfhopes. So sorry to hear that you suffered a chemical pregnancy and hope you had plenty of support at the time. Unfortunately, it can sometimes happen again. However, you might ask whether having low dose aspirin or heparin might help with blow flow to your womb lining and hopefully prevent any clot formation. My thoughts but worth asking about. Wishing you well with whatever is decided. Diane
Thank you Diane, it’s heartbreaking, appreciate your advice and we will try next time.
I'm so sorry to hear about your chemical pregnancy I know how devastating it can be. Sadly I have suffered 2 chemicals and a MMC prior to that, my consultant has recommended additional progesterone for my next transfer aswell as what Diane mentioned clexane and aspirin. I also have steroids and intralipids.
Thank you for your reply Clarenix, I am sorry for you experience too it’s devastating isnt, I had bloods for immunology and it come back all clear, would you still consider all this medications that you have mentioned? Thank you !
I would check with your consultant, I was prescribed steroids and intralipids due to immune issues so it maybe that they could just prescribe aspirin and clexane. I am having extra progesterone this time because I was tested day of transfer and also tested when I had my HCG blood test and it was on the low side so consultant agreed to add in an additional injection this time as well as pessaries x
Thank you !, i keep my fingers crossed that this time it all works out for you! My progesterone was checked regularly and that’s not an issue either, I am hoping to book my self for pregnancy loss clinic and see what they can suggest before starting another ivf.
