I’m wondering if anyone can offer any advise. The internet doesn’t seem to have any answers. After my first embryo transfer but clinic sadly confirmed a chemical pregnancy.
At 10dp5dt I tested positive but started lightly pink bleeding which become somewhat heavier. The spotting / bleeding stopped after around 4 days and then after tests I was confirmed as chemical. It’s been almost a week since that day and I am still yet to bleed. I’ve had no spotting or anything. I am asking how long it will take? My clinic said a week but again I’ve just had no sign of AF. my clinic said it will be very heavy and uncomfortable.
I am currently experiencing weird, electric. Type feelings in my boobs. And feeling very sickly. I’ve never had this prior to AF before and wondering if this is also a symptom of a chemical.
Thank you

Hi there, sorry you are going through this. It’s not nice at any time but especially hard just now. I had a chemical pregnancy and quite similar symptoms. My period started about 10 days later but I had similar symptoms in my boobs beforehand quite often during the night. Xx
Thank you. I would echo whatToniik and MrsOrangeJuice said, there are some positives to take to the next cycle, you can implant and it was probably just the embryo wasn’t right. Hard to see at the time, but did help me going forward. Sending love. Xx
Hi, i'm sorry you are going through this! I hope you find some time to properly grief and process the news but please don't lose hope. I have very low AMH too and had only 1 embryo each round. I also had a chemical on my first transfer. My doctor said of course it's bad news, but there's some good news in there too. It means my body did response well to the transfer, it just that our embryo couldn't develop further. So for the next transfer he adjusted my meds, we had our embryo pgt-a tested. And it worked for us! Still a long way to go but hopefully I can give you some hope.
I'm sorry, it's very hard to have the positive go. The first time for me it wasn't until a bit later that the lines started to fade but it turned out from hcg tests that I got late that it had stopped developing quite early. The second time it was obvious before OTD and I also had spotting and bleeding. A few things: if you spotted it may mean that your progesterone dose isn't quite right (shouldn't bleed if it's working property) so speak to your clinic about that for next time. Also although normally you get a withdrawal bleed a few days after stopping meds, if you had bleeding for a few days it could be that your body has had the bleed from the loss so you may not get another until your next natural period, but again check with your clinic and get a scan if you're worried as the lining needs to break down before trying again. And the periods I've had after early losses have been fine - one was a bit heavier but nothing especially painful or different from normal (I had endo in the past and wasn't as bad as those). It can depend but don't worry unnecessarily as it may be just like a normal one, or even light. And My doctors told me to see these losses as encouraging - it's so hard to see it like that at the time but they said it meant you'd overcome so many hurdles and ruled out so many issues, e.g. got a good embryo that was strong enough to implant and develop even for a short while, and womb environment good enough to get implantation. So even though in some ways it's harder than a BFN because of the loss of hope, it can be a good sign for the future - I wasn't feeling like that after two but my third transfer worked so just get through this as best you can and focus on next steps. x
