I think anything is possible, never give up hope. Not exactly the same but I had two natural chemical pregnancies then had a successful pregnancy via IVF. I think they say you are more fertile the month following a chemical.
7 months later, I had another chemical pregnancy (conceived naturally) and the following month I fell pregnant naturally and now have a 10 month old.
It took us three years and a lot of help to have our first. My first round of IVF was horrendous and we didn’t have anything to transfer because I had such a poor response to treatment. It ended with a discussion with our consultant about donor eggs and we thought we would never have our baby. Our second round was slightly better, still didn’t have a great response but we got two blastocysts, first one didn’t work, the second did. The whole process is a minefield but literally anything can happen.
My friend was TTC for 6 years, did a few round of IVF, had some losses and in the end, had two boys both conceived naturally.
Best of luck to you, my biggest bit of advice is to try not to over analyse everything and lots of positive thoughts (easier said than done)
thank you for your reply! Wow you have had such a journey! Congratulations on your beautiful babies 😊 thanks for the positivity and hope 🥰.
I have a 5 year old son and have been ttc since he was 1 years old! We conceived the first month but that ended in a chemical pregnancy, the following years after we had nothing so decided to try IVF managed to get 2 blastocysts but both were graded 4cc the first transfer worked but ended in chemical pregnancy again and not sure weather to try the second because it’s graded the same at 4cc.
Thanks again for your reply 😊
It is such a difficult journey and there doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason as to why one works and the other doesn’t. Our second embryo was a 6 day blastocyst and seemed the least likely out of our batch to even reach blastocyst level. Sometimes when they are frozen, they are a bit further along after the thawing process. Just because the first didn’t work, it doesn’t mean the other won’t. Wishing you all the luck in the world 😀
chemical pregnancies aren’t exclusive to IVF it’s just we hear about them less with natural pregnancies as often people do t know they are pregnant to the the minute in the same way we do in IVF so just think it’s a heavy/late period xx
hello, yes this is happening to me right now. After a failed IVF process I fell pregnant naturally but it’s a chemical sadly. There’s no rule at all and I know I have a blood clotting disorder so it’s more likely to happen. All the best xx
Completely possible to fall pregnant naturally after IVF. I did but sadly lost my little one at 7 weeks. Chemical pregnancy is common. Just look at all the negative reviews on amazon where people have got a 'false positive' - people who aren't going through ivf don't know its a thing and assume it's the test.
Sorry you're going through this and keeping my fingers crossed for you.
