Day 3 update

So just had the lab update . The 3 embryos are still going but one is poor.

We have :

🥚 1. 10 cell

🥚 2. 8 cell

🍳 3. 4 cell

Safe to say we are down to 2 at this stage from these results. 🙄

Finding it hard to think any will make it to Monday day 5 🤯

The lab director said that the two are 5/6 from the endoscope ratings ..... with the 10 cell Looking top quality at the moment.

Why do we always wish for more than one when even one blasto is a mission 🤨🤯🤪😢😭

I had 31 eggs taken, 26 were injected with sperm, 16 fertilised, 11 made it to blastocyst stage but only 2 were good enough to freeze. I was so disappointed and I shouldn’t have been because really I should be thankful for 2. Fingers crossed for you and I hope your two make it to good blastocysts! X

Hi rhinocat, I’ve had similar experiences myself and in 4 cycles have only ever scraped together something to transfer (not always a blastocyst) with never anything to freeze. I naively thought on my 1st cycle I’d get a few blastocysts ending in a pregnancy and some in the freezer. I guess I’m the unlucky one balancing out the statistics. I hope you have more luck than myself. Come on embryos grow grow grow xx

Like Mine. I got one last round and obviously it didn’t work. Not much I can do, just have to go with it . 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

A 10 cell and 8 cell on day three are exactly where they should be. No reason to think they won’t make it, hoping they do make it for you!! Only two more days to wait xx

Etc. No appointment was made for transfer on Monday just told to be ready in case I had to come.

Hey you only need one remember! I got 7 frosties...im 4 down and still no successful pregnancy. So numbers dont always mean much! Sounds like you have 2 strong contenders there though, wishing you the best xx

Just wanted to say that I really hope you get great news tomorrow. I've got ET booked for tomorrow morning & getting a bit worried about my little embie's progress over the weekend (also cultured to day 5). Totally agree with everything everyone has said - numbers mean nothing! They only got 6 from my round. We ended up with two (in their words 'dodgy' ones frozen) but, crucially, the one transferred led to a BFP Now 6 weeks.
