AMH level??

I have done new blood tests and my AMH is higher than what it was 2 years ago. Has anyone had this happen? I thought it was meant to go down as you get older? X

I don't know the answer I'm afraid but I'm very interested. Like you, I thought AMH could only decrease. Will be interested in the responses. x

Im wondering whether its because I've started taking DHEA or not. Been on it for 2 weeks. God knows X

Hi there, ive had the same happen. If you take at look at my very first posts on my profile. I had tests and the results were in order as 3, 2.3, 7.5 and 6.2. If you read NICE info on AMH they state that AMH levels are not supposed to change on a month to month basis (this is incorrect as mine did) and you are also led to believe that AMH will never increase. 3 experienced IVF Consultants cannot give me a reason why it increased and state there's no evidence to say why but it might be something to do with the lab conditions. 3 of my 4 blood tests were done in the same lab. What I don't get is that they heavily rely on this test when it's not reliable enough. I hadn't taken any supplements when mine increased. It will be interesting to see what you are told. I'm following xx

I've not had this happen to me. And I also thought it was supposed to go down.

Yes. Two years ago mine was 49 point something and when it was retested this summer it was 55 point something. The clinic just said that are factors at play that can cause discrepancies sometimes but I don’t think they really know why or how to be honest xx

I watched on yt explanation that AMH is not measured in real source of egg, but rather somewhere in between and that is why it might go up

Yeps, happened to me. I was 17 then about a year or 2 later up to 24. I queried this with the clinic who said it can happen. I had another one very recently and back to 17... Maybe next time I will be 24! 😂
