Antagonist protocol

Has anyone ever done the antagonist protocol? Ibhave high amh but not polycystic. Last cycle i had lots of eggs but only one blastocyst. Is antagonist just another word for the short protocol?

Hi there, yes it is another word for short protocol. I had it on my previous 2 cycles. It's quite common for those with high amh to have short protocol instead of long to reduce the risk of ohss. Best of luck xx

It's so difficult to say as each protocol affects everyone differently. But perhaps if you were on a different one before they want to try it this way to try and help quality xx

I’m also waiting to start antagonist protocol just waiting on clinic to call me

Bit nervous as my 4 previous cycles was long protocol I hope I react well

My amh is 66

I’m just waiting on my clinic to call me as they are just starting to reopen

I’m due on in about 2 weeks really hoping I can get in this cycle but it’s starting to look doubtful

Also my last cycle I had a freeze all as they retrieved 20 eggs 19 fertilised 8 made to blast but only 4 was good enough to freeze Really hoping I don’t have a freeze all this round
