I just had my first scan come through from the NHS I will be 8 weeks 4 days according to my last period. Surely this is too early, or is it ok dont want to be sent back for another. Should I ring them see what's going on or have scan?

8 week scan nhs
I had my first scan today at 7 weeks. I saw and heart the heartbeat today ❤️
Did you go through ivf? If yes, it is normal do have en early scan at 6-8 weeks. They are checking if there is a heartbeat and if pregnancy is in the right place. The next scan is at 12 weeks.
If it is a natural pregnancy, then the first scan is at 12 weeks.
Good luck!
I would go as at that point there will be a heartbeat 💗.
When I was pregnant with my daughter I had scans every two weeks from five weeks to fourteen.
I think this was because my pregnancy was spontaneous but off the back of my second failed ivf attempt and the doctor wanted to keep an eye 👁 and to be honest it was reassuring.
Congrats! X
Even natural pregnancy you can have an early scan depending on your history. Had a 6 weeks scan and second pregnancy an 8 week scan both viability scans before the 12 week one, I'm complicated health wise. Nothing to worry about 😊
We had our first scan at 6weeks and we were fortunate enough to see a heartbeat. I'm sure everything is fine.
