Egg collection tomorrow! What to expect?!

It’s my first IVF cycle and I have egg collection tomorrow. I have 25 follicles above 16mm and a few which were 12/14. When you take the buserelin do the follicles continuing growing? Wondering if a few of them will get up to 16mm!

Good luck 💖 I was told a certain number and then ended up getting way more as the others grew! Sounds like you should get a good number of eggs 😊 hope it goes well xxx

Just had the clinic call - 22 little embryos made it through the night and fertilised!

Now onto getting them through to day 5! What a numbers game! 🙏🤞🐣

Good luck. Remember it is about the quality of the eggs not the quantity. The process is very quick and painless. I was asleep for it. You feel a bit bloated afterwards but it disappears within a few days. Take care x

You don't need too many. Bet you feel it! Ask if you can have infections of the hormone to keep the eggs that are fertilised inside you at the end of the completely reimplant of foetus as I had issues with the hormone tablets as did 2 other women!

Sounds like you are off to a great start! 🙏🏼💕They’ll keep you under anesthesia when they remove them. Then you rest a little, and wait to hear what has become viable for transfer. Are you doing a fresh transfer right away or doing a frozen and waiting a little longer? I did frozen bc I hyper stimulated and had some scarring. Most of mine developed to the 6th day, I had 2 early blastocysts day 5, going on day 6, and other frozen that came to day 6. Hang in there. I’m praying for you.. 🙏🏼🙂😍

Thank you!! Having a frozen cycle as I am having PGD. So the ones which get to day 5/6 will be frozen and some of their cells will go off to the genomic lab to test for my bad gene ! I’m impatient by nature so this is all testing me 😂😂 but hopefully it will be worth the wait! 🙏 👶

Thanks for letting me know.hopefully it won’t be much longer now..Just waiting on them deploying anaesthetists back to the hospitals as they have closed the pop up ones now..Yeh the waiting is just torture for everyone but hopefully worth while..Wishing you lots of luck x
