We've now heard back from our consultant and it's ICSI only for us - no more testing as doesn't think it's worth it. At least we know, but I do wish our consultant at RI Edinburgh wasn't quite so abrupt and direct with it. It's just so cold, I know it's their job and they've seen it all before, but he was so abrupt and not friendly at all - "there is no hope, very very unlikely, ICSI only". Wow - just kick us in the heart next time!
He also told us that there is a 6 month delay now for IVF or ICSI on Self funding (it was 1-2 months previously).
Has anyone else had any info from Edinburgh (or in fact anyone in Scotland) as to their clinics and what is happening?
Thanks

It’s so disappointing when staff are abrupt when it’s such a sensitive issue. Surely they’ve had enough women cry at them to change their tone slightly!
If you’re self funding, maybe you’d find less of a wait at a different clinic x
Unfortunately we have had a similar experience every time at this clinic. Last time was “your baby dying was unfortunate” and “no there’s no point trying to do anything yourselves”. Thanks mate. It’s good that they are communicating with you we’ve heard nothing from them at all. x
Well we chased which is the only reason they told us. Last week they were putting in for their optical to reopen he said. We have the head of the clinic as our consultant which you’d think would be a good thing but he’s so abrupt and uncaring about the way he deals with it. X
Also we got in touch with our MSPs because of the lack of clarity in Scotland and we have two of them trying to get some clarity for us all so maybe you could also try this. x
