HyCoSy test

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has had the HyCoSy test at Belfast Fertility? There doesn't seem to be many options for having this done privately in northern ireland, but I'd feel better going for it if I knew how other people had found them. Appreciate any private messages with advice.

I haven’t, but are you on the IVF/infertility NI group on Facebook? There are definitely ladies on there who have and they are a really great resource for tips/advice

Hi thanks for your reply, unfortunately I've come off Facebook, I think the options are limited in NI so I'll just have to be brave and go for it 😊x

Sorry for the late reply here, but are you a member of fertility network NI? They are running a zoom session on this next week. I just got their email of upcoming events. I’ve only been to a couple of things but found them quite good tbh and it isn’t like fb or anything.

I had this done at NHS. It’s definitely worth it as I found out my tubes are not blocked. It’s a bit uncomfortable but try to relax yourself and take two ibuprofen 40 mins before.

Thanks for the advice, it's one of the tests I never had done, we just seemed to bypass things and ended up going straight for ivf so now I'd like to find out exactly why we aren't getting pregnant, get some answers in case it's something fixable x
