Hi Anna have you been doing any ovulation tests? I never do them as we dont even have 1% of conceiving naturally, but last month I was exactly the same I had no normal egg white mucus and generally none of the normallities of going through ovulation. I'm convinced I dont ovulate each month now after ivf, but cant no for certain.
I check with an ovulation strip every other day....always negative! x

Are you using the internet cheap strips? If so you should do them at least twice a day and when you start getting a line you should do them every four hours - at the moment you are probably missing your ovulation as you are missing your peak by only testing every other day xx
How long ago was your last egg collection? I always ovulate a lot later the month after an egg collection. I’ve done four and it’s always late, sometimes by a week x
Thanks so much for this! My last EC was a month ago. I have done 4 in total over 15 months, but I just don't seem to ovulate at all since I started IVF two years ago...xx
I definitely would, at the very least they could do a blood test and confirm for sure you aren’t ovulating. Your gp should be able to do this as well x
You can get a Day 21 blood test to test your progesterone levels / ovulation online via Medichecks. Maybe easier if you can’t get to the clinic / GP. My only caveat would be that I think they’re accurate if you have a “normal” 28 day cycle but as most of us know they tend to vary!
Same as any other ovulation tests. The line has to be dark for it to be positive x

I am on day 9 of my 22 day cycle and I'm getting lines not faint but not as dark either is this normal after miscarrying on 8th April this is my first cycle basically second bleed. 🤔
Funnily enough I’ve just been thinking the same thing. We had our first cycle in Jan (failed unfortunately) and my last 4 period cycles have been off I usually get really bad breast pain from ovulation and I know my period is imminent because the pain tails off literally the day before my period starts I think it’s progesterone that causes that because it was the same when I had to take the pesseries after embryo transfer but since the cycle in Jan I haven’t had that and my cycles usually 28 days long have been around 33 days plus. My clinic wants to try a long protocol next (I have a very low AMH) and I’m worried that when the drugs to put my body into a temporary menopause I might not come back out of it again! It’s tough I don’t want to seem strange telling my clinic about all these worries but I already feel like my body has been affected by IVF I ovulated like clockwork prior to IVF but nothing since
Yes me, totally the same. I was always regular as clockwork. I've done three cycles in the last year including one mmc and when I had day 21 progesterone test in feb it was an annovulatory cycle. My progesterone was just 20 (needs to be over 28 ideally). Just had it repeated in March and I'm finally ovulating again. My progesterone was 34. Still on the low side but 100% confirms ovulation occurred. I just think ivf upsets the balance of hormones and it takes a while to get back into sync. Don't get hung up on ovulation tests, they wreck your head. A far better way to check fit ovulation is bbt in my opinion.
Don't trust ovulation strips. They don't work for everyone. Some ladies have a really short lh surge. Last month I couldn't get one single positive ovulation strip or digital test despite testing 3-4 times a day. I don't get any ewcm. I did however for the first time in ages get mild ovulation pain. Despite my negative tests my GP was still able to confirm that ovulation occurred with bloods x
Hi Jess, I know this was a while ago but I wonder how your cycles have been since? I had my first egg collection in September and failed FET in October but since, my body just doesn't seem to ovulate. Have you had any luck? Emma
No it turns out I don't actually always ovulate and even when I do my progesterone is on the lower end of normal. I'm looking to start clomid on the account of my pco (that I didn't even know I had) xx
