Ovulation after IVF & chemical pregnancy??

Hello ladies! I am wondering if any of you can offer some advice...

My cycle is usually slap bang on 28 days, but since doing a round of IVF and having a chemical pregnancy I have no idea when I should be ovulating? It’s been two weeks since I started my ‘period’ so I have been testing my ovulation this week but no detection yet 😕 I suppose it takes time to catch up and go back to normal?...

I cant help with the CP bit but after my last FET failed my cycle stretched out to 43 days and although I wasnt testing I reckong I was around 2 weeks late for ovulation. Im normally around 29 days so this was super late for mexx

wow 43 is long! I suppose all the drugs mess up with our bodies! I really hope it hasn't too much for me as my cycles were so regular. xx

Great! thank you :) xx

It can take a while after a loss. Your body was geared up to have a baby & hormones will take a bit of time to settle down.

The ovulation tests advise against using them until you are at least 2 cycles clear of your loss.

I used them a month after my CP & didn’t get a Lh surge until cycle 3. Ovulation was never an issue for us, although my endo was capable of throwing my hormones out!

Also ivf in itself can take a toll on the body & take a while to get back to normal.

I don’t see there is any reason not to try every other day to “ cover yourselves “ some ladies are extra fertile after a loss hope you are one of the luckier ones 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻( it didn’t happen for over a year for us post loss but that is due to issues with my endo & surgeries) xoxo 😘

yeah that's what I was thinking, I think all the hormones and drugs will mess up my cycle a bit like you say, I just want to go back to 'normal' otherwise it just plays on my mind.

We will try 'naturally' again for now until we start our next round as like you say I could be extra fertile, but our 'issue' is male factor so I doubt I would have much luck to be honest!

Oh well, we shall see!xx

My next 1 came 4 weeks later, however it lasted 10days, I told the clinic and they said this was fine. Everyone is different, but think it does take a while to settle back down, and to be honest 4 months later and I'm still not back to as I was before, so I don't know if it maybe just changes things longer term. Hopefully it'll come soon, sorry to hear about ur chemical xox

I was 5 days early with ovulation last cycle, which was the first after my last bfn and this time so far I keep getting two lines but no positive. I think the whole thing just screws with our cycles xx

Oh I see! I could have been early too with ovulation but I just wasn't checking. Who knows! It's just another thing to worry about!xx

Yep, my periods/ovulation always went up the spout after miscarriage and failed ivf round, unfortunately. It is quite normal but very annoying. Hope it does it’s thing soon xxx

oh really? so frustrating!! oh well, will have to see what happens I suppose! I will be doing our next round of IVF in the new year so I just don't want my cycles to be so out of whack that my period takes forever to come!xx

Hopefully it will all be back to normal by then. Mine usually took a couple of cycles to get right. Good luck xxx
