Donor egg - America/Europe

Hello has anyone gone through donor egg ivf in the USA or Europe and wouldn’t mind sharing their experience with me? Or has anyone done a lot of research on it and would like to share their findings with me (costs, names of clinics and their reputation, process and logistics etc)? I am seriously thinking of using donor eggs now with all the virus delays. Any comments or advice most appreciated thank you 😊

We did donor eggs with a clinic in Brno, Czech Republic. We got a positive but miscarried. Will be going back again as soon as we can.

Despite the miscarriage, we had a very positive experience with the clinic.

Hi, we also had DE in a clinic in Brno, Czech Republic. Probably the same one as you. Also very positive experience with the clinic and costs were considerably lower than UK and a massive amount lower than the US (£33,000 for the cheapest clinic we looked at in the US, yes you read that right!).

Mmmpudding you might be able to see my previous posts? If it’s any help I am 41 and my baby is 12 weeks now.

Hi Baypony, I live in the US but due to our insane pricing on all things healthcare-related I'm thinking of DE in Czech Republic also. Do you know if there is any way to do genetic tests on the embryos?

Hi I am not sure if you are interested in north Cyprus, all the clinics there do Pgs and Pgd testing. Good luck with your research x

Me. I think if you look into it you will find the pricing in the USA prohibitive. I got a few quotes and they were astronomical in comparison to europe. In the end we went to Barcelona as there are easy and frequent links from where we are to get there and the clinic had a really good reputation. Choose a few, talk with them, find out which one feels right to you, look up their results on the hfea website. I think all in all there are slight variations in cost throughout europe but you may find that the further east you go the prices come down a little.

Hi I have a wonderful consultant in Athens. She used to be at Create and set up her own practice. She works closely with IVF Athens. I am currently 8 weeks pregnant with donor egg and fingers crossed it continues! I had so many probs but she stuck by me for 5 years! Happy to pass on dets. PM me.

My friend used same clinic as me in greece and she’s in the states , there was others that used it to from other parts of Europe , Canada and Australia so it’s totally doable it’s just working it out logistically.
