Hi everyone,

I had group B strep during pregnancy and my baby and I both had antibiotics during labour. My midwife told me I can only pass it on during labour but I’m so worried after reading on google (big mistake!) that I can still pass it on! I’m so worried I’ll give it to my baby and make him poorly! If anyone can give me advice or put my mind at ease I’d really appreciate it, many thanks.

Hi... I am positive of Group B Strep when I'm pregnant. My doctor and Midwife feels don't bother. They explain to me when I'm giving birth they will give me an antibiotics. But didn't happen. I early gave birth at 35 weeks EMCS. They still gave antibiotics to my baby even I am EMCS. And he's fine never have a problem. I read also is it very scary to newborn baby. Just calm your self and think positive! 🙏🏻
