I can’t believe what’s going on atm. I hope you are all doing as well as you can be in the midst of this crazy situation!
I’m in the middle of my first cycle, with planned EC for Friday. I’m assuming that my cycle is going to get cancelled at some point, just hoping it’s after EC and not before.
My anxiety is through the roof and assuming this is the case for many? I was just wondering if we could all share tips and tricks for anxiety/stress management?
I normally find running helps stress management but obviously can’t do that atm. Also been doing mindfulness/meditation which seems to help in the short term. Any other ideas we could all share to help each other out?x

Have you still gone to work? I’m currently at home waiting for a call back from my clinic as I do not want to put myself at risk after coming this far !
Totally unsure about the situation and what to do, however I work in a school and deal with unwell students and complete home visits.
I’ve had annual leave booked for this week so I’m off... it sure if that’s a good or bad thing? Work don’t know my situation so thought taking leave would be best for appointments but now am going a bit stir crazy, lol x
Have you heard if your school will close yet? We have Teacher’s in the family and a lot are having emergency meetings tonight..
My EC should be next week if it all goes well so I should have a week off then anyway which my management know about. I just think it’s crazy to put myself at risk this close to it!
We have been informed that we are definitely closing at some point but have not been given a date.. I’m an education welfare officer so I work with parents and students in regards to their attendance - as you can imagine it’s getting worse and worse by the day. It just doesn’t make sense to me. We have around 1500 people in our school on a daily basis in large crowds.
Hi Lovely, I am not surprised your anxiety is going through the roof. IVF is tough enough, then try doing it with the coronavirus in the background, aaaaah!
Last night on the calm app, I listed to Stephen Frys 'blue gold' sleep story he is the only one that sends me to sleep, hahaha! His voice!
Wishing you lots of luck for Friday, lots of love xxx
Anxiety is through the roof and I've just had transfer so I should be in a better place. I'm just worried I'm going to get sick and you know how it is when you have an embryo on board - you are terrified about doing everything right for them! Also worried about having enough food etc. (as we've bought a couple of extra things but are not stockpiling). I think not being on the news constantly is helping me and being distracted with actually getting on with things e.g. laundry etc. Do whatever you need to do for you, so if that's not going to work or going for a walk or whatever, do those things. I'm finding staying in my house is making me feel safest! Friday is so close! My clinic was a few staff down and the staff were amazing and pushing through with this cycle of EC and transfers so hopefully you will get there. You're right - EC is the most important. That's what all the work is for! Sending lots of love xxx
I agree, definitely not being on the news all the while will help your anxiety. Well done with your transfer hun, keeping everything crossed for you xx
Thats really positive news- Hoping your little embie enjoys its new home 🥰
I really hope they do push through with this round. I secretly want to get to transfer stage but just not sure. If I can get to Friday and get some good eggs I’ll be happy 🤞🤞🤞
I think my addiction to the fertility site updates and the news is probably not helping so may take your advice and limit my time spent on it.
Thanks. Of course you want to get to transfer stage! But we've got to take our wins where we can get them, so I'd just focus on EC for now and think of transfer as a bonus (impossible, I know, I don't know why I'm even saying that). I think clinics do genuinely want to stay open (they are private businesses after all) but it's just what's happening with their staffing levels and whatever the government says. What clinic are you with? Have you checked with anyone on here about specifics for your clinic? Also, are there any staff members you're a bit friendlier with that you could get to be a bit more candid with you about what they know about likelihood of cancelled cycles etc.? Really hoping for the best for you! xxxx
Yes. Clinic have said business as usual but also said that this could all change at the drop of a hat. Challenging times, which we could all just do without.
I saw another of your posts and it really resonated with me, feels like we are very often a forgotten population with little appreciation given to how stressful this entire process is for us without a global pandemic! xxx
Ah it’s so hard isn’t it! I had my BFP last week which is amazing, but I can’t let myself get too excited with everything going on and being so early 😩 I really want to be able to look back and enjoy the early feelings of pregnancy but right now I just feel sick with anxiety it’s horrible xx
