Hi, I'm not sure whether clinics statistics relate to FET only or for the whole process? The initial part of the process is key in terms of the right protocol and then getting any embryos to day 5. I'm not sure whether clinics would report results for FET only, but I have to admit I have never looked? Personally I've never focussed on going to a clinic with the highest success rate as statistics are just that and what works for one person may not work for another. I would focus on a clinic in your area that gives you what you need / want and gives you confidence. I changed clinics for my last cycle and chose the one that I felt listened to and supported by - all the things that my last clinic hadn't done. Hope you find somewhere x

Just to echo what Libsie said, I think the most critical part is the initial part, drug protocol, egg collection and embryo development.

I don’t think clinics publish FET pregnancy rates, just pregnancy rates overall.

I understand you’ve been through a really tough couple of weeks so I completely understand you wanting to think of all the options but I would suggest having a consultation about frozen transfer with your current clinic first xx

I have just spoken to the embryologist about pregnancy rate with frozen and she answered the questions I asked and I asked loads. . She did say that it's common that sometimes frozen embryo s don't thaw properly less common they might not thaw at all... She said because I got 4 blastocyst's is not to worry because it's a good number... But I can't help but worry that I might lose my embryo's she did say it's rare but now Im worried... I have a little girl who is 4 and all I want is to give her a sibling... I only want 1 more... Then I'm done.

me and my husband was discussing in maybe having another egg collection in 3 months... Just to bank the embryos...being I'm 37 not getting any younger it might be an option... Oh she did say that with frozen transfers there pregnancy rate is 30% which is low... So might have egg collection in a different clinic which will suit my needs may be... Xx

Oh yeah I remember now- to Andre your question, probably in London. My clinic told me that embryos survive thawing in 98% of cases and it’s VERY rare that they don’t or get damaged because their machines are so technologically advanced....mine thawed perfectly for example (and it was an ok-ish grading). London is far but maybe worth considering? Although before going through another egg collection I would use those 4 embryos you’ve got! You’re only 37!!!!! (I’m 40 in July)

Hi Eram12,

It’s very rare for embryos not to survive the thaw these days. Sorry your embryologist said it’s common, seems like a very odd thing to say! Most clinics say over 90% thaw rate.

I would say 4 frozen blasts gives you a great chance of a pregnancy. Of course it’s not a guarantee but I also don’t know where the 30% success rate comes from either. 5 day blasts normally have a much better pregnancy success rate than that, over 50%.

Honestly normally I always say listen to the embryologist but she sounds like she’s having a bad day!x

My clinic has good birth rates but as I'm way up north I doubt it'll be viable for you. PM me if you want some details though I don't know what you're prepared to do in terms of travel but I couldn't recommend them highly enough, from a personal perspective, our experience was fantastic x
