Does anyone know why this has happened?

I took a test this morning just in case as we all do….I’m 5 weeks 1 day and the positive came up straight away then the control line but why is the control line so faint and test line so dark?

Does anyone know why?? Getting worried again now!! 🙈🙈

That is so strong! I wouldn’t worry at all. The control line is like it says on the tin is a control not the actual test. :-)) xx

It only means your hcg level is high so it is now darker than the control line, nothing to worry at all! Xxx

This is normal. Your HCG is so high that its stealing the dye from the control line. Its a great sign, so you've got a dye stealer which is pretty much the best line you can get! Be careful about continuing to test because as your HCG continues to rise the test line can become faint again. It's called the 'hook effect' and it means that there is too much HCG for the test to manage. As you can maybe tell I'm a total POAS addict! And I continued to test and freaked out when the line got lighter again around 7 weeks.

Don't worry, this is good! Your hCG is so high that the test line has to steal dye from the control line to show this....its what they call dye stealer.xxx

I had this too at 5 weeks hun, nothing to worry about as everyone is saying. It’s a strong positive xx
