DQ Alpha partial matching gene. Does anyone know about this???

I've had 3 early miscarriages and the last one was a pgs normal embryo. So I've had all the tests done and begged my Dr to test for DQ alpha and LAD tests. He agreed to but said he wouldn't know how to interpret them.

Got an email this morning saying LAD result was negative which is reassuring but we had a partial gene match with the DQ alpha result. He's trying to contact the Chicago lab to figure out what it all means.

Does anyone know if we are doomed? Anyone had treatment for this & gone on to have a live birth??

Hey, I had these done....Im not sure what they mean entirely however they are to do with your immune response. The interpretation of mine were that we had a "Medium HLA DQA1 compatibility - Expected medium HLA DQA1 alloimmune response". I was advised to do intralipids based on this. I did actually see a consultant about this at the time who explained it all but it was such a long time ago....sorry Im probably not being much help! Hope you get a good explanation, would be great to hear how it goes.xx

Thanks for replying. My consultant doesn't know what it all means. Thing is we did intralipids on the fet that just failed so I'm not sure they were the answer...from what I'm reading 50% of our blastocysts will have a partial DQ alpha match and therefore fail so it's just keep trying and hoping we got a "zero DQ alpha matching blastocyst" :-(

Ive tried reading up on this and to be fair its all pretty complicated! Hang fire and see what the specialists say on these. Ours certainly didnt seem to been all doom and gloom so perhaps its not as bad as you think!xx

Hi Fingerscrossed. Not too sure about a Intralipid use, as it is just extra fat and protein. See what the HFEA say about it’s use. Hopefully one of you4 stored embryos will come up trumps and be fine. Good luck! Diane

Did you find out any more information?? Sorry I know this is old. I am a dq alpha complete match which means that I will have to get a gestational carrier.

I know with a partial match you can do prednisone, intralipids and LIT. I may get my LAD test done and I’m very sure i have antibodies. Any information you can share would be appreciated!
