Hi all, just after a-bit if knowledge from people how’s Experienced over stimulation. I have Psos and I’m due for egg collection tomorrow. Only one ovary working which has produced 28 eggs. 5, at the size of 22, I’m feeling pretty rubbish to say the least.
They say my blood count is over 15,000mol which I’m guessing il have to have my eggs frozen due to such a high blood result. But I’m not sure. What was your experience and thoughts on what will happen? My tummy is so swollen, boobs are very tender and Some constipation. Keeping my fluids up and have a hot water bottle. Do the pain ease off once eggs have been collected?
Many thanks x

Hi lovely, you poor thing! I remember that feeling well!
You’re doing all the right things in terms of fluid etc.
For me, the discomfort didnt ease off until many days after egg collection. The hcg trigger often REALLY stimulates the ovaries again and they take a while to settle down.
I was prescribed some medication by my clinic to try and keep it at bay. Carbogabeline or something like that. From egg collection for 8 days. I was able to have a fresh transfer but i hear freeze alls are common and often with great results so dont be disheartened if thats what you need.
Lots of rest & fluids after egg collection. Take it a day at a time xx
Hi I just had egg collection yesterday. I had 36 follicles but only 9 eggs collected but 8 of those have fertilised. My oestrogen was 20,000 on Saturday so I was told to take buserelin to trigger as I was very high risk of OHSS. That means that my embryos will all be frozen and we will do fet in coming weeks to give me time to heal. I felt sore yesterday and very bloated after EC today pain has settled well but a lot of trapped wind. I’ve been advised to keep going with lots of protein, fluids and isotonic drinks and to monitor symptoms. Your clinic will do what is right for you and give u advise. Mine said they would scan me tomorrow if I’m still in a lot of pain but I don’t feel that is necessary. Good luck 🤞
Thank you for responding, wow, 36eggs, I feel with taking the trigger injection I may have similar amount. I feel il be going down the same path as you regarding my eggs being frozen. do you know how long it takes to do Fet? Once EC is done, or does each individual vary? Xx
I was told that I would have a withdrawal bleed about a week after my trigger and they sometimes do Fet after that or they may wait until your next period to give your body time to recover. I’m having a chat with my doctor today so will find out what the plan is. Good luck xx
So surprisingly Iv having a fresh transfer, apperntly I have 30 follicles but the collected 18 eggs, so all being well, il go for transfer Monday morning. Really wasn’t expecting that. Now I have the dreaded wait to see how many fertilise. Hope all goes ok for you. And everyone else on this journey. It’s definitely an emotional ride for sure! Much love xxx
Good luck for your call today fingers crossed. The next few hours may seem like a lifetime so I recommend a nice breakfast to keep those nerves at bay! Xx
I was overstimulated a month ago, had hormone levels pretty much same as yours, I had 32 eggs collected... My doctor triggered me with decapeptyl instead of ovitrel to lower the risk of OHSS. I also took a medication for 8 days but can not remember the name now.
I felt little pain here and there after the procedure but nothing too bad, recovered very quickly so try not to worry.
I did not have a fresh transfer to avoid the risk x
